  1. A blue whale sighting would be more exciting but then you wouldn't see one of them in the buffet.
  2. Cheers, yes that happened
  3. Yesterday actually, US time and date I presume.
  4. Thanks, it was yesterday actually, the CC date is US centric I assume.
  5. Just saw that, we have the Crown and the Discovery still
  6. Colleen McCulloch, I have left some books by her grave stone when I was there.
  7. Yep, no need to tip for each drink, especially as it already has a grat added in anyway.
  8. I bet you there was, my cousin has a friend.
  9. Yep, I suppose better pours only really works when you are drinking spirits and are paying as you go. When on a package, who cares.
  10. I know someone who does it and he is an Aussie. In sister he gets better service, bigger pours, and such. I prefer to sit in my lounge chair and get the drinks as they come with the waiter providing good service without all the tipping. And the rewarding at the end of the cruise if they were exceptional.
  11. Surgery went well, but due to being a reconstruction rather than just a repair, I will be in the boot for another 8-10 weeks.I have already been in it for 6 weeks and was hoping to be out of it in 4-6 weeks. It just means I am hobbling around on crutches still and sleeping in the boot is not ideal. Lots of reading and TV watching, which isn't too bad.My wife has been a Saint. Hope your surgery goes well and your recovery is swift and full.
  12. Don't be scared, they are just guesses
  13. Yeah, I did it once, we were having so much fun with activities could've done another 7 easily.
  14. It is always sad for those concerned. It also delayed the Carnival ship coming in as they helped with the search and rescue.
  15. That is what I had presumed, but either way, it was to reduce congestion once off the ship.
  16. I think it really depends on the cruise, if it is a more US cetric ship like Royal or Celebrity you will be tipping for each drink anyway, other lines have it included in the price. As others have said, I wouldn't worry about tipping in coins, a note along the way or at the end would be more appreciated but certainly not required. As with a post cruise recommendation to the staff that you want to praise.
