  1. We use American Tourister compression bags. I usually get them at our Wal-Mart, although they are getting harder to find. They used to have 1 X-Lrg, 2 Lrg, and 1 Med bag in the package, but now only have 1 Lrg. and 3 Med. bags.

The X-Lrg were great for dirty clothes as they were pretty big. The Lrg size are good for packing your clothes in, but the Med size are small.

You do have to be careful about weight when using them. You don't need a vacuum because you just roll them to get the air out. We take some empty ones and fill them up during the week with dirty clothes and hardly need to pack anything at the end of the week.

We also pack our clothes in them and you don't need as many bags and you don't have to worry about you clothes getting wet if something happens on the way to your cruise or on the way home.

  2. Aren't the Keys going to get hit too? And won't all of the ports like Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, and Port Everglades be in the path for being hit/affected?

This will probably affect a lot of cruises and passengers.

Prayers for the people of Haiti and all of the Bahamas.

  3. We do have a long wait for Harmony, but we have a 9 day Alaska booked on Radiance for May 2017.

With our son starting high school this year it will be harder to just get up and go like we are used to. Although my husband would like to fit another cruise in there somewhere.

Until then we'll live vicariously through you guys and others. Lol!

  4. Thanks Andrew for bringing us along for another great cruise! Hope that you had an uneventful and safe journey back home.

We appreciate the time that you take to do the great reviews full of humor and great information, and for the fun periscopes! Looking forward to another virtual cruise with you guys in November on Harmony!! Unfortunately we won't be cruising on her until 2018. [emoji17] Cant wait to "see" her through your eyes.

We will say a prayer for your FIL, scary, especially when you are not there to help out. Hope that you have some family that were able to be there with your MIL to help her feel more at ease until you guys got back home.

    Thanks again!

  5. Hi Andrew, just got caught up on the review, but I am behind on today's scopes.

You say that you are here to entertain and you sure did with the piano scope! Unfortunately, I did not catch it live but it is a classic! So hilarious! Loved Lisa and Owen in the background!

Thanks for the review and the scopes and I am so glad that the weather has turned for the better for you guys! Looking forward to more fun!

  6. Thank-you. I hope you enjoy the review and scopes this go around. You are right about MPoole. We sail with him on Harmony in November so I can't wait to meet him in person. I might need to buy him a Stella or two.

His scopes are so funny sometimes! So neat that a bunch of you guys are cruising together and getting to know each other! Yes! You have to buy him a Stella!

  7. Hi Andrew, and Lisa, and Owen!

Andrew you were the reason we set up the periscope acct. in March. We didn't even know what it really was at the time. We have enjoyed your scopes and now follow a couple of others. (MPoole is a crack up, too!). We also love your reviews. Always look forward to some humor.

Hope the weather is great for you guys and that you have a wonderful cruise!

  8. We have only done 3 Disney cruises on 3 different ships and loved them all. Always had great service. We finally could not afford their prices anymore and jumped over to RCCL.

We have done 3 RCCL cruises on 2 different ships. Two of those cruises were on the Allure. We LOVE the Allure! So many things to do. Ocean Aria and the ice skating shows were awesome. (Oh, and we saw Mama Mia and liked that, too) Love the Royal Promenade. My DH and DS enjoy the flow riders and we ALL have fun on the zip line. Central Park is amazing! We liked Labadee but still like Castaway Cay better. Pretty much all of the crew members that we met were great. Try Giovanni's if you like Italian, so good! We have done it for lunch and dinner.

As long as you are okay with the big cruise ships I think your family will enjoy it. The first time we had a balcony room on one of the humps. This last cruise we had a GS for the price you pay for a balcony on Disney and it had lots of fun perks.

    Hope that you enjoy it!

  9. Thanks Mark. I'm looking forward to your Live Divina review.

Wait, I didn't post any pictures of speedos! Who put that there?!?!? :)

I'm glad you enjoyed the review. Thankfully I didn't encounter any bed bugs on the Escape.

Wait! I just finished your review. ( I know, a little late for the party!) Did you encounter bed bugs on another cruise?? They totally freak me out! That is a nightmare scenario for me at any hotel or cruise ship!

Thanks for the great review. Loved the humor! And Del Rio! Haha!!
