I've posted this before. I was at the Newport Folk Festival sometime in the late 60s. It was fabulous! Saw Bob Dylan, Judy Collins and a host of others perform. As a single gal at that time, I remember how cute those Navy guys stationed in Newport were. 😉 I just spent quite a while trying to track down a song that I love. I couldn't remember the name, but the tune kept playing in my mind. FINALLY, I googled "songs by Andrea Bocelli" and boom, there it was, "Time To Say Goodbye". I never tire of hearing that song.

I've been to Northpark numerous times but since I'm in the Northern part of the DFW metroplex I stick to Collin County Malls; Stonebriar, shops at Fairview. I've bought some nice outfits in Dillard's but it seems Macy's is where I have the best luck. BTW, Chico's has great jewelry. And, howdy neighbor!

I remember with pride watching the Yankees victory parades after their Series wins down the Canyon of Heroes (Broadway) in lower Manhattan. My History teacher in Jr. High (today's Middle School) signed my graduating autograph book with the most lovely comments about what an exceptional student I was, what a joy I was in his class. Problem was it was addressed "To Susan". I told him who I was, he crossed out Susan and added Bonnie. 🙄 It's a pleasure reading about your new family. I know it brings you much happiness.

I remember how exciting the NY Subway Series was between Mets and Yankees. We gave up formal cruise wear a few cruises ago. I now wear nice slacks with a glitzy top. As others mentioned I do most of my shopping in Macy's and have bought some nice pieces at Belk. I haven't bought much cruisewear lately because unfortunately, my clothes still fit. 🫢 Congrats on your weight loss and have a wonderful cruise with calm seas.

Oftentimes, the team you root for as a kid, shapes who you feel loyal to now. I followed the Yankees (spelled correctly) even after I moved to TX. I lost interest after Jeter retired. Amazing longevity that spanned 20 years with the same team. My BIL is still a Mets fan even though he's in TX now over 20 years. His son now in TX, also originally from NYC is a Mets fan as well. He named his dog Shea. 🤭

My Brooklyn born and raised BIL was a die hard Dodgers fan until the Dodgers vacated Brooklyn for greener pastures in CA. He then became a life long Mets fan. There is a sweet episode of the long ago TX series "Brooklyn Bridge" about the Jackie Robinson trade. One brother about 7 or so, asked his big brother about 13 why Robinson was traded. Older brother said "for more money". Younger brother said "they get paid?" How sweet and innocent for a kid to think they played just for the love of the game.
