  1. The information came from one of the emails from the Suite Concierge. "Parking: From the Guest Parking lot, shuttle is available for transferring guest to terminal 91 and it will be 4 mins ride(The Charge for the parking is $27/day) Rideshares (Uber/ Lyft) and Private vehicle drop off in front of Grey Building (7 mins walking distance to the terminal91) Taxis only drop off in front of the terminal91 ( kindly suggest you to take a taxi )" Unless something goes terribly wrong, we definitely plan to be onboard the September 5th sailing as well.
  2. Thank you. we are hopeful for nice weather but are prepared for the worst, except extreme cold.
  3. And a very good morning one and all. We both. managed to get our fair share of sleep yesterday, after not getting a lot on Saturday and traveling coast to coast on Sunday. We have just finished breakfast at the hotel restaurant and are relaxing in our room and re-packing thing in preparation for our taxi ride to the ship. I found it interesting that the rideshare drop off point for Quantum of the Seas is a 7 to 9 minute walk from the boarding area but taxi's can drop you off at the boarding area. This was according to information we received in one of the emails from the ship. When she read that my wife made a command decision that we would be taking a taxi to the ship instead of the usual Uber/Lyft. We have an 1100 boarding time and are hoping to arrive at the ship no later than 1015 - 1030, since suite guest are allowed up to an hour before or after scheduled boarding time. I know the room will not be ready but want to make some reservations that need to be done once connected to the ship's WiFi. My next post should be after we are onboard.
  4. It is 72 hours before arrival in Canada if traveling by air. So you can complete your ArriveCAN documentation as early as Wednesday for a Saturday arrival. If arriving in Canada via a cruise ship, you can do it 72 hours before the ship's sailing date. As an example, we are departing today from Seattle and will be arriving at Vancouver on Sunday, September 4th. We completed our ArriveCAN last week.
  5. Any cruise that makes a port call in Canada.
  6. I believe you, I am just reporting what our experience has been. I have no explanation for why our experience has been different from yours. This has happened when we were on the same ship / WiFi system as well as when we were on a cruise and she was at home. It may be that her phone was not configured for WiFi calling. My phone, like yours, is always configured for WiFi calling.
  7. Thanks. I had not idea. I've been to Seattle a few time but never really dug into anything beyond a couple of tourist places, e.g. Pike Place fish market and the original Starbucks location, which I understand is not really the first Starbucks the but first place where they started selling beverages vs just beans or grounds.
  8. We completed our Health Questionnaire on the app in preparation for today's sailing. There were three questions: 1. Are you fully vaccinated for COVID-19? 2. Have you received a COVID-19 booster? 3. Will you be more than 23 weeks pregnant at any time during your curise? Whether or not there will be more or different questions at the pier later today when we board I guess we will find out when we get there.
  9. You do if you want to text someone who uses a different phone platform than the one you use. For example, when we are connected to the ship's WiFi we cannot exchange text messages with our daughter who has an android phone. We can exchange messages with our son who has an iPhone the same as us.
  10. Some views from the Concierge Lounge, 28th floor, here at the Renaissance. These are much better than the view from our 19th floor room.
  11. Google https://letmegooglethat.com/?q=Drink+menu's+Royal+Caribbean
  12. Delete the app and then re-install. As @Another_Criticsaid, the best place to find a list of drinks is the app. But, any drink that your normally drink at home can most likely be found in at least one of the bars, although there may need to be made allowances for supply chain issues.
  13. We have an uneventful flight from Washington Dulles to SeaTac, arriving almost 30 minutes early. Retrieved our checked bags and walked across the skybridge and down to the 3rd floor to the Uber/Lyft pickup area and ordered a Lyft to take us to the hotel. It was a 7-minute wait for our Lyft ride to arrive and we were quickly on our way to our hotel. Arriving at the hotel, I had expected that our room would not be ready but much to my surprise our room was ready and within 10 minutes of arriving at the hotel, we were in our room. I left the wife and went up to the lounge and picked up some soda, water, and snacks for the room. I just went into the Royal App a few minutes ago and found that I was able to complete the Health Questionnaire and finish the check in process on the app. Not sure if there will be an additional health questionnaire tomorrow because the one for check in today only had three questions and on our last cruise there were more questions.
  14. When I go to the app, select Daily Planner, and scroll through the days and times, I can see all of the offerings including the main production but I am not seeing anything for TWO70.
  15. Show times in the Royal Theater have been 8:00 pm and 10 PM. From what I understand TWO70 and the Music Hall performance times vary day to day.
  16. We are sailing on Quantum tomorrow and I was just able to complete the. three health questions on the app. They are on the Check In portion and ask (1) have you been vaccinated, (2) have you had a booster, and (3) will you be more than 23 weeks pregnant at any time during your cruise. I remember there being more questions on our last cruise but I am a 'go with the flow' kind of a guy, most of the time.
  17. Here's the link to their Web site. https://www.fishermansrestaurantseattle.com/ I have heard that "The Crab Pot" which is in the same area is also good but we have not been there yet. It's our backup plan if we can't get a reservation at Fisherman's.
  18. If you enjoy Old Fashioneds, see if you can find a bar that will serve a Zacapa Old Fashioned. It's something I became very acquainted with on our last couple of Celebrity cruises, until they ran out of Ron Zacapa due to supply chain issues. I think you will like it.
  19. We are staying at the Renaissance Seattle, 515 Madison Street. It's about 4 miles from the cruise port. We are thinking of having dinner at the "Fisherman" Sunday night. Have dinned there before and enjoyed it. It will all depend on what the DW wants to do after we get settled in the hotel. As a result of all the travel I did when I was working, I am Lifetime Elite with Marriott and enjoy their perks, when available.
  20. I plan to use as many of my DW's Diamond Plus drinks as possible. She's usually good for a single glass of wine with Diner (which I am hoping to have her get from the Suite Lounge) and a nightcap -tanqueray and tonic or tanqueray and cranberry. I am sure between the two of us, the 10 free drinks a day will not be an issue.
  21. Things are off to a good start. Our daughter picked us up and picked us up as scheduled. She brought us to our hotel for the night and we had a nice dinner before she left to go home. I am a big fan of the Marriott Burger -- my wife had the same. We have two suitcases, one weighs 40 lbs and the other 60 lbs. Already informed United that I have one bag over 50 lbs so do not expect any issues at the airport. As is the case when we have early morning flights, we are staying at a Marriott property close to the airport tonight and will take the hotel shuttle bus over to the airport at 0600 tomorrow.
  22. That's an interesting recipie for the Boston Iced Tea Party -- all the menu''s I have seen include bourbon/whiskey and vermouth. This looks more like the ingredients for a normal LIT
  23. This is our plan for Quantum. We'll use our Diamond Plus drinks credits, have one or two during Happy Hour in the Suite Lounge, and then pay ala carte for anything above and beyond that. Usually, I have a glass of wine while the wife is getting ready for dinner and then take a glass to go to accompany dinner at the Coastal Kitchen.
  24. We did a Grand Loft suite on Allure and my wife was not a fan of having to go up and down the stairs all the time. She's told me never to book at two story room again. i will see what I can find out and let you know.
