  1. Two weeks on Quantum and the only time we set foot in Bolero's was for turn around day as that is where they had us gathering.
  2. On a recent Quantum B2B there I encountered two issues with WIFI. 1. My VPN interfered with some of the features of the App. I ended up having to disable the VPN on my iPhone to get the app to show all the updates. 2. On turn around day they had an issue getting the new passenger information loaded and WIFI did not start working until around 1100 - 1130.
  3. Interesting -- It's been a while since I have sailed in anything but a suite, where WiFi was included on either line so thank you for the update.
  4. I am really not surprised by the reactions to the OP's post. There are a lot of people coming to the defense of someone breaking not one but two rules. Smoking is prohibited, and for a good reason, anywhere except designated smoking areas. Illegal drugs, which like it or not marijuana is still illegal in a lot of countries and on ships, are not permitted onboard. What do you think would have happened if the OP had simply waited until the ship was in port, walked off the ship and reported that someone in cabin ## had illegal drugs. I bet that would have gotten Royal's attention quickly.
  5. If you call and purchase over the phone vs via the web, they will apply your C&A member benefit, one free day for Diamond.
  6. Thanks Jim. We will be getting off Millennium in May after the Panama Canal transit. The last time we sailed out of LA was in 2008. We flew into LAX but I do not remember anything about the trip from the airport to the ship or the ship to the airport.
  7. No. I am sure he would not be the only one wearing a jacket.
  8. A similar approach for me. Depending on the itinerary, I may wear shorts and a polo shirt in the morning and afternoon, and change to dress pants with a dress shirt for dinner. Most evenings, looking at me you don't know if its casual or chic night.
  9. I think I got that once when I was outside the Move Up window (more than 30 days before my sail date).
  10. You can also pre-purchase a bottled water package from Celebrity for $12.99 + 18% gratuity per person per day. It does have to be purchased for the entire cruise. "Enjoy the pure refreshment of Evian still water, San Pellegrino sparkling water, and Perrier sparkling water throughout your vacation. Once onboard, all you have to do is show your SeaPass Card at any bar, lounge or restaurant."
  11. This sounds exactly like a butler we had on Edge. We saw her the first day when she came to our suite and introduced herself. We saw her twice in the Retreat Lounge when they were setting up the snacks. She is the only Butler we have not given an additional tip. With only a few exceptions, we tip at the end of the cruise. Those exceptions are normally service staff/bartenders outside the Retreat/Michael's Club.
  12. If you go to the App Store and search for Royal Caribbean, there is an app that you can install and use to manage your cruise, both before and during.
  13. @Jim_Iain Really looking forward to following along in your upcoming adventure. If you remember, please comment on getting to/from the port from the airport, and which airport you choose.
  14. As @Biker19 said, each of the three devices can be used simultaneous but it will require all three to use the same account (user name and password).
  15. The room service charge is per order not per item. You can still get continental breakfast for free in the mornings.
  16. We have not sailed on Liberty since the shutdown but that was our experience. My honest recommendation --- order what you want and they will tell you if it is not available. Give them the opportunity to say no is my approach shipboard.
  17. As @RCCLNYMETS41 said the questions are pretty generic. I believe there are only three of them. The safety video is available on the App. When you open the App, look for the "Safety" icon at the bottom. You both inform the crew when you check in at your muster location onboard that you have watched the video. Yes, your entire group can watch together. My wife and I normally watch the video after breakfast and while waiting for time to depart the hotel and head to the ship. Helps to kill the time. Yes, you must report to your muster location onboard to complete the safety process.
  18. We parked in the open lot and did not have an issue with getting in and out of the lot or with security. We were there in an earlier part of the year so did not have to worry about snow but did have to deal with rain.
  19. I have never had a problem with taking a drink to go from the suite lounge. I've never tried to order any exotic mixed drink but every thing I have ordered, from an appletini to rum old fashioned they have been able to provide. However, like many things with Royal Caribbean, it can be ship or class of ship specific. It might help if you said what ship you will be on then maybe you can get some more specific answers.
  20. I hope you pointed all of these things out to your waiter and or the Luminae Maitre'd. They cannot improve if no one tells them what they are doing wrong. I certainly hope that the food and service gets better.
  21. @Plato123I agree with your comment about the atmosphere in the Retreat on Edge not being up to par with that of the S-Class ships like Reflection. I do not know if it has changed since our Edge Sailing in February 2020 but the podium where the Retreat Host were located was back in a corner space about 10 -15 feet away from the entrance. On Reflection, the Retreat Host have desk to the left where you enter Michael's club. On the Revolutionized Silhouette, the Retreat Host podium is to the right as you enter the lounge. Being greeted and being able to converse with the Retreat Host as we enter, or knowing immediately that he/she is busy with another guest I believe is a greater experience. We love Cranston, the best bartenders we've encountered in any of the Retreat Lounges. Which is another thing I did not like about the Retreat Lounge on Edge. There was no bar. You ordered your drinks from a server and he/she went off somewhere and later came back with drinks. We prefer the experience of watching our drinks be made and conversing directly with the person making them.
  22. Vegan relatives, my condolences. I guess I am just so use to ordering a 6 - 8 oz filet or a 10 oz strip that the portion sizes seem normal to me. I have, on occasion, even ordered the small filet that is on the children's menu when I was not very hungry.
  23. I can see where you might miss a 'big salad', I have not seen big salads really offered, except when ordering a 'dinner salad', but the portion sizes for their protein dishes are on par with the size we receive at restaurants where we live. Then again, I never order a t-bone or porterhouse steak at steak restaurants. Maybe they serve larger portions where you live.
  24. We did a B2B on Reflection in December of last year. All of the suites onboard were booked. We had not issues with crowding in Michael's Club or in Luminae. With everyone getting OBC these days and suite passengers having the DBP I believe the crowding that others have experienced maybe a thing of the past. The other reason could be the times that guest were going into Michael's Club and or Luminae. We did not attend any of the pre-dinner events and we had asked for a table at 6:30 PM for dinner.
