  1. We keep telling specialty restaurant managers the same. If they offered a price for a limited menu we would eat there every night. That having been said, go enjoy the experience and your meal. Eat what you care to and see how it goes. Enjoy your cruise.
  2. Will it work in Barcelona? Doing a transatlantic but will be in Barcelona 4 days pre cruise.
  3. You can always visit a specialty as you like. UDP isn't the only choice. Its too much food for us, so buy a 3 night on 7 night cruise and 5 night on 14 night.
  4. Try MSC. We were very happy with the food. Menus have the old Royal classics side menu.
  5. Until the door starts swinging open and/or slamming shut waking everyone in the cabin. 😉
  6. No, but there are restaurants and bars on a cruise! 😉
  7. So you do not tip at restaurants at home? You must be very popular.
  8. Sorry you are confusing the standard drink receipt verbage with what happens with a voucher drink. A dollar or 2 for each of 5 drinks a day isn't enough for me to take a chance on the hardworking bartenders not being compensated. It's not like any of them are over paid.
  9. Yep, no tip on voucher drinks. Sharing in tip pool is not the same as receiving a tip from the person using the voucher. And, if it's a zero receipt any compensation from the employer calculates to zero. The 18% info printed on the receipt is probably on every bar receipt.
  10. Oh, makes more sense. But I have not been presented with a receipt for a voucher drink in many cruises.
  11. There are no printed drink vouchers and have not been for years. Drinks are loaded on your seapass card.
  12. Not if it is a Diamond + voucher, which is the title of this thread.
  13. Do you stiff your cabin attendant and waiters also?
  14. Don't share all the tricks. 😉
  15. Only that someone said it on here. No one at Royal calls her that. But we the stretched Grandeur, having sailed her before and after many times. It's worth a sailing to see if you can figure out where the added center part starts and finishes.
  16. You can still tip cash if you are paying w/ a credit card. Just don't knock on the cockpit door and try to tip 😉. Wait til you are departing.
  17. Sure, I get it. I forget that we are not all retired here. But I have younger friends who work but will not consider a cruise of less than 12 nights and prefer 14. Their thinking is to average the flight cost over more days.
