  1. Over 50 cruises and have used a TA since our 2nd cruise. Have changed a few times... one who has group rates beats some OBC or free specialty dining hands down.
  2. If they share in the profits when there are some, are they willing to share in losses when there are some? That's the difference between a business owner/stock holder and an employee. They are provided employment but have nothing invested.
  3. If changing clothes or showering. Otherwise open to watch the promenade activity. (We did see a young women strip naked while the family packed on final night of cruise. 2 young boys and husband didn't seem to mind. Of course we didn’t watch... closed our drapes quickly.)
  4. Yes, food was pretty fabulous when we started cruising. Real beef steaks and prime rib, delicious sides, Ceaser salad prepared table side, order as much as you care to eat, then finish with flaming cherries jubilee also prepared at your table. Service was so good that you wanted to tip every night. Today's MDR has no comparisons.
  5. No noise from elevators. Promenade cabins are our favorite.
  6. Every day is Halloween for someone on cruises. Take a seat in the promenade and watch.
  7. Disney does not have a ship equal to Wonder. Compare apples to apples: ship size, # of passenger cabins, # of days cruising, etc. Then find a good TA offering group rates. The savings will amaze.
  8. "Your name matching the name on the reservation." is listed on the shareholder obc request. So if the joint venture statement has our names with middle initials but our reservation form does not have initials, is that considered not a match? I am trying to be sure that I get it right this try, after never our request for 3 cruises last Jan never got a response. Thx in advance for any advice.
  9. Makes sense. We might use 5 between us for drinks/day on Royal. Then we get whats left as water before bed. If you have been good to and loyal to a bartender he might double the water or thrown in some beer. No luck with that on MSC. But if a MDR server has a bottle of wine open on ice for another table buying by the glass, I often got a free glass or two by asking with a folded $1 or 2. You can't be picky with your wine choice doing this.
  10. We are Royal D+. On MSC we booked Bella. Bought drinks when we wanted one. Spent way less than a comparably RCL cruise. Loved the ship, the food and the service.
  11. We threw ours away after spending way to much time trying to use it.
  12. Not always prior to sailing. Some have reported winning notification after unpacking in 1st cabin. Others received winning email notification during day one.
  13. Well aware. But would never antagonize a waiter. Might get something you don't want on your steak.
  14. Can someone recommend a sure fire way to get stock obc approved? We have 7 cruises booked and I would like to submit them all at once. The last cruise that I tried I emailed it and never got a reply or obc. Thanks in advance.
  15. Quality cleaning? Are they doing more than when 2x? You are in the minority liking new menus.
  16. There is no rhyme or reason to their matches. We are D+ on Royal with 50+ cruises. We both got matched to Gold. Unfortunately their system is one and done. No do-overs. You get what you get and don't pitch a fit!
  17. Ask who when cabin attendant was there in the am and no coming back for 24 hours? No towels at guest services, like in a hotel.
  18. No downgrades... except 1 less room cleaning, new menus, no classics, and on and on and on!
  19. We tried MSC and really liked it. No Yacht Club. Bella was great. Will try Virgin in December just to see.
