We’ve made it to our muster station. It took all of three minutes. Don’t know why this is so hard for some people. The solution would be no drinks until you do your muster!

Next, we walked up two flights of stairs to drop off our carry-ons. We have an interior Havana Cabin # 5214. The cabin isn’t ready so we drop off the bags and leave…..

I keep wondering about those sideways cabins. I am ALMOST intrigued enough to book one.

Patti, best of luck with the foot surgery! We appreciate all the walking and picture-taking you do for these reviews!

Ahhh, my favorite place to eat in PC! I may have to try that risotto, it looks yummy!

And poor Ol' Stumpy.....I can't believe she JUST got her tail replaced and lightning took it out again.

Speaking of ol' Stubby, we saw her go out today. We were out on the balcony admiring the gorgeous blue water, so pretty this afternoon! And then I went back inside and took a nap! 🤦‍♀️

Following!  Nothing beats Vista class Havana area and I agree-we paid quite a bit for Havana Cabana and totally not worth it.  Did interior on Horizon.

Vista Havana area all the way for the win! It's the best way to sail a Carnival ship!

  3. @KmomChicago, sending strength and positive vibes your way.

Flirt had a good checkup with her farrier this morning. That always has me on edge, after all the hard work we put into saving her, and then her kicking him last year. I am always worried that either she will a) get a bad checkup, or b) kick the farrier again. I breathe a sigh of relief at the end of each visit!

  4. @Funsince1983 ugh I feel for you with that sound! They remodeled our building 2 years ago which included a new roof and new bathroom floors. The pounding on the roof for 2 days drove me insane with migraines, and then when they cut out the bathroom floors it was like being in a dentist's office with that noise....I told them I had to leave, it sent shivers up and down my back. I can't do noises like that!

  5. I have to admit, I am not a fan of the breakfast buffet, so I really hope Carnival doesn't do away with sit down breakfast. The "eggs" on the buffet are less than appealing, and the eggs benedict the 2 times I tried them from up there were soggy and gross. I do love Blue Iguana, so if they do away with sit down I guess that will become my go-to.

Our house has been on the market for 3 weeks. We only had one showing in all that time but they made an offer. $35,000 less than asking. They want us to pay all closing fees. Real estate market is apparently very slow right now. Realtor thinks we should take it. I want to counter for at least $5000 more. What says the Tribe?

I would absolutely counter if they're wanting you to pay closing costs....

Hello Tribe Family! Patti and I have safely arrived home. The two weeks we had aboard the Vista were fantastic, and we can't wait to tell and show you all about them. Need a couple of days to get our feet back on the ground here, and then we can relive all the fun! 😎

Whoo hoo, can’t wait to read how your time on board Vista was. That’ll help get me thru some until my next getaway. 🙂

Glad you all made it home safe!

  8. The shrimp poke appetizer is one of my new favorites. I also like the crawfish strudel app.

For mains, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Indian Vegetarian dishes! They're something I can't really make at home, and I have yet to have one I didn't like. I also like the crawfish fettuccini, and there was an herb crusted salmon one night that was really yummy!

  9. Hello everyone!

We had a fun weekend here. We had a dog show going on close by, with an event that my mom had been wanting to try with a few of her dogs. I thought my dog may enjoy it to, so I said what the heck, let's tag along. We were like the Clampetts going to Maui let me tell you. We had no idea what the heck to expect or do. We have shown horses, but never dogs. Luckily the group hosting it was so super nice and helpful. They guided us through the process, and my mom's stud dog has found his calling, he took to the event like a fish in water. Mom's other dog....not so much. She just joyously ran circles around the field without chasing the bait. My dog, who was watching the bait with tons of interest, got onto the field, looked at the bait as it took off, looked at me, and promptly sat her bum on the grass like "nope, that's too much work." At least we had one dog who exceled!

Yesterday we had a birthday celebration for my uncle. We had gorgeous weather, so we did a cookout, yum yum! I think he had a good time.

Now it's back to the grind. Bah humbug. 40 days until I head to FL again for a cruise. I can make it, I know I can!

I'm all caught up and enjoyed your review, as always. It looks like you all had lots of fun, minus the deli lady, and lots of good drinks. 😁🍹

Thank you for reading! We did have a great time. Such a good time, in fact, that less than a week later B was ready to pull the trigger on another cruise! Next year she shall try MSC Seashore, since Mom and I raved about how awesome our YC cruise was last year. Looks like maybe we will have yearly girls' vacations?

Free Lunch Friday. Vegetable paella and artichoke dip... The paella comes in a cast iron dish when you get it in the restaurant, but they throw it on aluminum foil on to go orders... Something different than usual. A little more than three hours till the weekend!

We used Lawsons private tour for Uxmal and it was really well managed, great guide / driver. The three of us with him in a small private car. Uxmal is the max distance you can fit in during the Progreso stop but practically empty of visitors compared to other ruins sites.

I will have to check them out as well. Thanks for the tip!
