Flirt had a good checkup with her farrier this morning. That always has me on edge, after all the hard work we put into saving her, and then her kicking him last year. I am always worried that either she will a) get a bad checkup, or b) kick the farrier again. I breathe a sigh of relief at the end of each visit!

Ya know....Chris and I may have to try Ryan's when we sail from PC again. It looks pretty cool! I do love my Fishlips tho.....

@Funsince1983 ugh I feel for you with that sound! They remodeled our building 2 years ago which included a new roof and new bathroom floors. The pounding on the roof for 2 days drove me insane with migraines, and then when they cut out the bathroom floors it was like being in a dentist's office with that noise....I told them I had to leave, it sent shivers up and down my back. I can't do noises like that!

I'm having a day at work....it's a good thing that the weather is nice, I forsee getting home and having a glass (ah heck, make that a bottle) of wine on the lawn. I think my coworkers aretrying to get me admitted to the psych ward this week....

@MeganGC1983 wow, that is scary! Luckily where I am we rarely get tornadoes, they scare me....you do not really seem to get much advance notice with them. Stay safe!

I have to admit, I am not a fan of the breakfast buffet, so I really hope Carnival doesn't do away with sit down breakfast. The "eggs" on the buffet are less than appealing, and the eggs benedict the 2 times I tried them from up there were soggy and gross. I do love Blue Iguana, so if they do away with sit down I guess that will become my go-to.

I would absolutely counter if they're wanting you to pay closing costs....

The shrimp poke appetizer is one of my new favorites. I also like the crawfish strudel app. 

For mains, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Indian Vegetarian dishes! They're something I can't really make at home, and I have yet to have one I didn't like. I also like the crawfish fettuccini, and there was an herb crusted salmon one night that was really yummy!

Hello everyone!

We had a fun weekend here. We had a dog show going on close by, with an event that my mom had been wanting to try with a few of her dogs. I thought my dog may enjoy it to, so I said what the heck, let's tag along. We were like the Clampetts going to Maui let me tell you. We had no idea what the heck to expect or do. We have shown horses, but never dogs. Luckily the group hosting it was so super nice and helpful. They guided us through the process, and my mom's stud dog has found his calling, he took to the event like a fish in water. Mom's other dog....not so much. She just joyously ran circles around the field without chasing the bait. My dog, who was watching the bait with tons of interest, got onto the field, looked at the bait as it took off, looked at me, and promptly sat her bum on the grass like "nope, that's too much work." At least we had one dog who exceled! 

Yesterday we had a birthday celebration for my uncle. We had gorgeous weather, so we did a cookout, yum yum! I think he had a good time.

Now it's back to the grind. Bah humbug. 40 days until I head to FL again for a cruise. I can make it, I know I can! 

Time for cards and a vodka cran. TGIF!!

Thank you for reading! We did have a great time. Such a good time, in fact, that less than a week later B was ready to pull the trigger on another cruise! Next year she shall try MSC Seashore, since Mom and I raved about how awesome our YC cruise was last year. Looks like maybe we will have yearly girls' vacations?

Following along! I have debated trying NCL's Haven, but the "extras" in YC have kept me from doing so. 

Prepare to be so spoiled and ADDICTED to YC! We tried it last August on Seaside and fell in love. I have never felt so relaxed and pampered.

Yes, she told me she would be on for my June cruise and its her last week onboard. I am so excited she will be there, she was so sweet!

Jeff, enjoy your day at your vacation home! I was so happy to get back to GT a few weeks ago, didn't realize it had been since 2018! The water there is so beautiful.

We used Lawsons private tour for Uxmal and it was really well managed, great guide / driver. The three of us with him in a small private car. Uxmal is the max distance you can fit in during the Progreso stop but practically empty of visitors compared to other ruins sites.
