Just canceled Night 1 and 2 for 2 people and rebooked the same times for Night 1 and Night 2 for 1 person..........Refunds on the way! 🙂 No need now to go there or worry about going there on boarding day to get the restaurant and time we want. It's already booked. Will just go there late afternoon to let them know there will be two of us each night. Also won't be charged the current onboard price for Chops(we are paying $53.08) and Giovanni's (we are paying $44.82) Pre-Planner Prices Thanks again.

So you are saying just book for one person on the planner and show up the "day" of with 2 persons and use your BOGO coupon to pay for the second person? Do they get mad when you show up with 2 people?

What company did you use to buy this type of coverage and only pay for $127 for 2 people?

It's not more expensive when one of the meals is free when using your Diamond Plus BOGO coupons.

I did pay for the 1st two nights, when booking at home...........I'm asking will they refund that money back to me and so I can then use the BOGO coupons in those 2 slots? Will Royal do that for us onboard?

Ask them if you have a chance, if you can reserve the times and restaurant you want for your BOGO coupons before you board at home? Then once you are on the ship if you can then use your coupons the 1st two nights in the time slots you booked at home and if they can refund the $$$ your original booking was and then just use the coupons to pay the 1st two nights. Can you still use your coupons like that.........Years ago we always did it like that so we could get the times and restaurant you want. So no need to rush to the restaurant to try to get the times we want.

Maybe you will be in for a huge surprise, the other committee members do it without you knowing. 🙂

That is what I was thinking, moving the water in and out of the locks with today's engineers has to be faster then how it was done years ago when the old locks were built. Nevertheless I'm sure no matter which locks ships take it's still as amazing as the 1st time we went through the old locks. I will never forget just looking at the water level behind us as we were dumped down into the Atlantic after passing through our last lock. Amazing how high the water level was..................... With your cruise going East to West, you are going to like swimming up hill the entire time until you get to the Pacific.

Do you know if new locks are faster then the old locks to get through if no ship traffic for each way?

Just numbers to us, does it really matter? Pretty sure none of what they are doing is really worth what they are getting paid for.

Could that mean larger ships take the old canal and your ship is switched over to the new canal?

Figure I will answer your post here then rather upset people on the WC thread. You have me all wrong not trying to be negative at all about those going on the WC who booked it as a full cruise or the 4 segment cruisers. I'm actually sticking up for those people thinking they should raise heck with Royal about why they are paying so much compared to the people that are booking 17 cruises separate. I mean really paying twice the amount is ALOT of $$$. Why aren't they grouping together more and complaining? Why isn't their travel agents having a talk with Royal and asking for a more fair deal for them. Seems like they are just taking it on the chin and getting ripped off. Get the media involved if you have too. Royal should be doing something to compensate those people who all booked early. There is No way people who booked early should be paying twice as much. These are not even last minute prices, the freaking cruise is still 8 months away. Royal do something for these people!!! Why are they letting Royal screw them like that.

Interesting we also toured in St. James and took rides in both Oak Island and Wrightsville. We also checked out further North, Hamstead and Surf City.
