JC, what was the Uber Cost from Double Tree to the Port? Right now we are booked in TRYP by Wyndham Newark Downtown which isn't far from Double Tree but right now Double Tree is twice the price of Wyndham. Both Hotels are very close to each other.

Yes, the Memorial Garden is the one with 2 peach trees inside the fencing. Yes we have lots of deer that roam into our yard over night. The White Birdhouse is where our real property line is.

Yes, our lot is a little over an acre..............The Memorial Garden and my Vegetable Garden is just behind our boundary line. 😉Both areas can be seen from our sunroom on the back of the house, when looking straight out the back is the apple tree. Placement was purposely planned so we could see each area from the sunroom in the house. Hot tub is below sunroom. The Gazebo is on our property. 🙂 There was plans to add 9 More holes of Golf Course and houses behind our house at one time.........But no one in our neighborhood believes that is ever going to happen. Our house was built in 2007. The main road leading into our area the house's are 25 years old....Like I said no one here now believes houses will ever be built in those fields. They would need to put in Roads and Waterlines back there before any building ever starts. If we hear anything like that happening, we would put our house up for sale most likely.

We sent all that rain up your way. Rained about 3 inches here the last 2 days. Time to mow again here for about the 6th time this year. Grass is really nice and GREEN ! Have 3 new blades on the Mower, make s a huge difference how nice it looks after mowing.

How much major work can be done in 3 days?

I think it is staged rain............rained just like that on our final lock also when we did the Panama Canal Cruise. We were going the opposite way though West to East.

Would love to see any pictures online of when they were digging out the new locks before opening them up to water. Wonder if there is anywhere. That would be amazing to see. The equipment they used compared to how they dug out the old locks would be a major, major difference.

When going through during a storm when it's very windy those tall lights sway so much they almost hit the ships going through. Saw that when we went through the Canal many years ago.

Later in the afternoon on the later locks there will be plenty of rail space on the bow as many will get tired from long day and heat.
