  1. Sorry for your situation. The TA should have informed you or sent you clear documents in what was required. As you stated you purchased cruise insurance so you should contact them or review the policy as this would seem to me to be your only way to get your funds back. Sometimes credit cards have some form of travel insurance, you might want to check this as well. Good luck.
  2. Have sailed from San Francisco a few times. Once you get past the Golden Gate seas are usually rough. From reading posts night 1 and sea day 1 cause ship to sail at lower speeds as well as have some not feeling well, and in some cases port of call delays.
  3. Think as mentioned, good travel insurance is a must at a time with plane flight issues as well as COVID. We have not booked a cruise without insurance without it since the start up. Yes the current plan is FCC, but never sure if this program gets extended, but this only covers positive testing.
  4. We have a Sept. cruise and have booked a SFO hotel parking, then to BART from SFO to downtown and walk to terminal. With 2 suitcases that are carry on size it works well as we have done this before, any big luggage and its not easy. We also have parked at a BART station long term, it was good then, but crime has been a BART issue more in the past few years so use care where you park and your location.
  5. Keep in mind these free sites are unprotected and if your work involves anything confidential or needing to be protected these sites are not for you. I would not expect to do much business on the cruises I was on as to many dead zones et. Just enjoy the trip and relax on your vacation.
  6. Think the idea of kids cruising free more limited , especially at peak times as why put non revenue people on a ship when you can fill the cabins without these practices. Many times it use to be $ 199 for 3 and 4th in the same cabin. I think casino offers will also be cut back, except for the active casino players.
  7. Agree with above post, from my experience 2 types of OBC. Refundable can be used. Yes you can pay when booking as we had a FCC due to a COVID cancelled cruise, just did it this week. We used a cruise consultant. If you have on line trouble you can always call.
  8. Really enjoyed on our visit pre COVID visit. They had the large pool as the previous poster mentioned and a lazy river as well as other things to do, like zip line. Tons of chairs and just a nice place to relax, they had drink servers available but no vendors as its a private area.
  9. I see on several posts the comments on fake vaccination cards. I cannot imagine someone putting themselves, other passengers and crew at risk doing this. A solution is the requirement to upload your cards 14+ days prior to your cruise date, and the cards can be reviewed, spot checked to make sure the cards are valid. If additional details are needed the cruise line can reach out to a passenger. If a non valid card is used, the cruise in cancelled and all monies on deposit forfeited. It is a crime to make fake government documents. https://www.shrm.org/resourcesandtools/tools-and-samples/exreq/pages/details.aspx?erid=1761
  10. How many have asked for FCC back to you that were due to a Princess cancelled cruise as your not able to cruise by 12/31/22 for whatever reason? Thanks
  11. We are looking at booking an upcoming cruise and we are a bit under on using our FCC which expire at the end of the year. When booking can we add the gratuities to the booking to use the remaining balance of the FCC so we are not leaving money on the table as these dollars will expire 12/22. Thanks
  12. Based on my 3 cruises earlier this year we felt safe and did not see or hear of COVID cases being an issue. The difference was masks being worn for the most part, and ships sailing at50-60% so you had distance between guests. We also avoided those who did not have masks on as some just cannot follow the rules. To those who say masks do not work, follow the science and you will see studies show a good fitting N 95 mask works, not 100% but they provides a good amount of protection, especially when added with distance to others.
