Will they let you cross Harborside Dr. there on embarkation day? If so, that would be great. I seem to remember having to go down andenter at 22nd at Fishermans Wharf.

Even without any internet package you can access the Carnival website and check in while on the ship. You can use either your own device or one of the computers in the internet hub.

There are beaches near, but it would be a 2 mile walk. Not much snorkeling from the shore, but there are reefs if you get a guide to take you out in a boat. Most of the beaches are restaurants with tables and chairs provided if you order food and drink. Not really a traditional beach day buts its a fun place to hang out.

Just did this a few weeks ago and was able to get an extension twice (for a total of 12 days). I have a great PVP and I emailed her and she made it happen, so they will definitely do it.

You are correct Badfinger. They call it Pasta Bella and it's the same menu as on the Breeze, although it's kind of an extension of the buffet area up on Deck 11 instead of a separate restaurant. It's not in the steakhouse, which is on Deck 12.

Never seen it in the MDR at dinner. Just water and tea and sometimes lemonade (but not always). In the mornings its orange, apple and guava usually.

As someone mentioned, there will be a lot of Platinum and Diamond level on this long sailing. Anytime dining on these cruises can be a nightmare and looooong wait for a table as Plat & Dia get first priority and they get bumped ahead of you in line. We did a Journeys cruise when we were Gold and most nights it took over an hour wait for a table. I would definitely do fixed time dining. If you don't get a table for two, it will be with the same assigned guests for the whole trip, but not everyone always shows up. The thermal suite - we really like the various steam and sauna rooms that are available and I usually visit them almost every day when we have a pass. The thalassotherapy pool (big hot tub) is smaller on this ship class than the original ones on the Dream class (our favorite spa setup), but we were usually able to find space eventually if not always exactly when we wanted. As for the price, they usually sell a day pass (on-board), a solo pass and a couples pass. The cruise-long passes often don't show up to purchase pre-cruise until you are a month or two from sailing. I just checked for my upcoming 6 day cruise and they have a 6 day pass for $149 pp and no couples pass listed yet. It's been a while since we purchased one that way but I'm pretty sure the couples pass is cheaper than two singles passes. What we usually do is try to book a "spa room". They come with the pass and are usually cheaper to upgrade from a standard room than the price of the pass. You may be able to call Carnival or whoever you booked with and see what the cost is to change your room to a Spa cabin.

We've done it and had it changed on board no problem. As long as it's just the two of you it should be switched.

One option to do both that we have done several times (and are doing again in September) is too book a "Best of Roatan" tour with Victor Bodden. The office you go to to pay also has a sloth/monkey facility right there then they will take you wherever you want. The best snorkeling from the beach that I have ever experienced is at West Bay Beach. Bodden can get you a day pass at one of the beach clubs there like Bananrama, Paradise Beach, Fosters, Mayan Princess etc, Just let your driver know what level of luxury you are looking for and your budget and he will make a recommendation. You can get to the reef to snorkel from any of them.

It's been several years since I've been to Uvas, and they have changed management and expanded since then FWIW. I was looking at some more recent Uvas videos for our upcoming cruise and it looks like the food is about the same as it used to be. Everyone is different, but we do prefer the Money Bar food, and the restrooms and kitchen seem quite a bit cleaner to me.

I would estimate it drops about 2.5-3 ft, over basically one step, about 3 or 4 ft out.

RE: Playa Uvas and Money Bar Having done them both multiple times, the snorkeling and food is better at Money Bar, IMO. Saw a lot more ocean life and variety. The Uvas group tour is really meant for beginners.

Yes. It's my favorite and I always get it with Kahlua.

You can buy them right at the entrance to the aviary and walk right in whenever you are ready to do it. Last year I think it was $15 for adults. It's right behind the flamingos.

The steps can be a little slick and sometimes the waves are crashing against them, so you just have to be a little careful, and you need to swim away from them fairly quickly so you dont get pushed back into them. It's about 4 ft deep or so right and out from them shore a little its probably 15-20 ft deep. I think you need to be at least a moderately decent swimmer to do it.
