  1. Great review, Stealthdog! Love the pictures, and you’ve posted some great tips! We can’t wait until it’s our turn on Odyssey in April! We had some of our door magnets “relocated” on our Harmony cruise this past September. At first they were just moved to different places on our door. Then they were turned upside down. Then moved several doors down the hall. The magnets were Disney ones, Mickey and Minnie. After they ended up down the hall from us, I decided that Mickey and Minnie must have gotten themselves Deluxe beverage packages and been partying too much so for the rest of the cruise they were restricted to staying inside of our room! 😂🤪🙃🤣 If you don’t want to keep your cruising duck you can always re hide it in a public area on the ship. I think they’re supposed to stay out of the stores though. Like you, I’m not on FB, so I’m not sure of all the rules about hiding them. We saw Finis Henderson on Harmony. He wasn’t our favorite entertainer of all the ones we’ve seen, but we definitely did enjoy his show. Would I see him again? Maybe. Depends on how his show would fit into our schedule and how long since the last time we saw him.
  2. We’re sailing on Odyssey in April. I’ll definitely be following along! 🛳😎 Thank you for taking the time out of your cruise to do a live review. 🙏
  3. So many B2B’s and S2S’s I’m losing track of what ship we’re on! Maybe if I were doing a better job of keeping up with my reading I’d know where we were…….😂🙃🤷‍♀️
  4. Deepest condolences 💐 on the loss of your beloved wife Jan. Thank you very much for sharing your story with us.
  5. I think you may need to extend your trip into December, on Freedom of course. Seems to me like Freedom is flirting with you, trying to get your attention! She’s saying that she knows you’ve sailed on all of the other girls and some of them you’ve even sailed twice. Freedom wants to know when it’s her turn! 😂 🥹
  6. You had me gasping and wishing I had a few more choices of reaction emojis when you said you might have to strap yourself to the treadmill in the gym! 😱🤪, maybe even 🤮 would have seemed appropriate! I think I would have been running away from the treadmill under those conditions! This sand sculpture was in what looks to be the same place on Coco Cay when we were there in early December of last year as the one you posted earlier. I’m guessing by the looks of the sand sculpture you saw that it was probably done by the same artist as this one. The design style looks similar to me.
  7. I’m finally caught up after being MIA around here all week. Sounds like you’ve been having a good time overall. 😀 Hope the seas calm down for you so you can get some sleep tonight. Be prepared for another chilly morning - at least by Florida standards! 😱 😂
  8. Thanks for doing this review. I’m looking forward to following along the rest of the way with you. 🛳 Hope Tropical Storm - soon to be hurricane 🌀 Nicole is nice to us here on the home front the next couple of days so our power and internet stay on.
  9. How was the snorkeling on your St Croix tour? Any underwater pictures? 🐠🐡🐟
  10. Enjoying your cruise and pictures! Thank you for sharing with us.
  11. Those cabanas look like they are right on top of each other. I had no plans to book one at the prices they’re charging for just two of us, so I hadn’t noticed how close they were. I don’t know who decided that a “Perfect Day At Coco Cay” meant cramming as many overpriced cabanas and loungers as close together as they possibly could was a perfect day at the beach. It’s definitely not my idea of a perfect day.
  12. Thank you, everyone, for your replies! I think our friends have the HIA package, so it sounds like they won’t be able yo use the machine. I’m going to start looking for DH and myself for a cruise that fits our schedule.
  13. Thanks! It’s great to see this! Just what I was hoping to find. Where exactly on the ship was it?
  14. I have friends on Nieuw Statendam now and asked them to check for me to see if the Freestyle Coke machines were still onboard. I specifically sent them to the Lido bar area since that’s where I thought they were on Koningsdam. Not only were my friends unable to find any Freestyle machines, but the crew members they asked who were working in that area seemed to have no idea what my friends were talking about. I was thinking of booking another HAL cruise because I thought I could book on a ship with Freestyle Coke machines. The selection of beverages they provide does make a huge difference in my cruise experience. Yes, I’d rather be drinking wine 🍷, beer 🍺, or other adult beverages 🍹, but I am unable to do so at this time for health reasons. I really appreciate the choices I have with Freestyle machines on a cruise. I’d really appreciate it if anyone currently aboard any of the Pinnacle class ships could give me an update on the whether there still are Freestyle Coke machines there, and if so, where they are located. Thank you in advance to anyone who can help. 🙏
  15. @DandDM, thank you for sharing your cruise with us. I’m enjoying following along. One of these days I’m going to break down and book us in a CLS. I know DH would love the view. I’d love the view, too. The stairs, not so much! 😂
  16. Thank you again for taking us along. I’ve greatly enjoyed cruising along with you and will be looking to join you on the Alaska sailings you booked while on this cruise. 😎🛳
  17. Glad to hear you out of quarantine. Chef’s table looked like fun.
  18. Sorry you’re not feeling well. Hope you’re just needing some rest and that you will feel better soon.
  19. I’m a bit late to the party but I’m here now and following along! Thanks for doing this live report. We may be looking into booking on Jewel while she’s in PC.
  20. First of all, condolences 💐 on your loss. Thank you for taking us along with you on your first solo cruise. I’m looking forward to cruising along with you. Ft Lauderdale gets really busy during the boat show. Glad you were able to get a room for the night. I think that’s a good omen that you’re going to have a wonderful cruise.
  21. Thank you @laurieal 🙏 for another great review! I’ve really enjoyed following along with you. 😀
  22. At least you won’t be lonesome with all the little friends sharing your cabin with you! 😃
  23. Thank you very much, Benny! I love the itinerary on Grandeur and the idea of sailing out of Tampa. However, I think we’re very spoiled by the Oasis class ship. We’re downsizing a bit for our next cruise - we’re going on Odyssey. 😂 While I do think we could sail on Grandeur and have a good time, I think I’ll take the advice that your friends gave you and that you shared with me and pass on Grandeur. 🙏
  24. Dining in the MDR with my food allergies has worked very well for me. We choose Traditional Dining so that we have the same wait staff every night. Because they get to know me and I get to know them, we are able to develop a relationship and I know I can trust them to watch out for me for the duration of our cruise. I have nothing at all against specialty restaurants. The few we have been to have been very careful to accommodate my dietary needs. I just hate having to go through my specific dietary needs every single night. I also like that it gives the dining room staff a head start if they have to make something special for me so they’re not having to do extra work during their already busy dinner time. I do eat in the Windjammer occasionally. I am always very careful and ask a lot of questions before I choose anything there. Windjammer staff have always been very helpful. I have never had a problem with my food allergies being accommodated on any of our cruises on Royal Caribbean or any other cruise line that we have sailed.
  25. My f amity member would like that shirt too. He’ll probably get it the next time we’re going to be giving him a gift. 😀
