Hope you have a safe, bug 🐞 free flight and cruise. Your bug in it’s glass dome was 😂😂😂😂! You probably shouldn’t plan to move to Florida. We have bugs everywhere here. Just not in my house! We have an excellent exterminator who gets the job done. We’ll be driving to Port Canaveral on Sunday morning to board Wonder. We’re hoping for an easy 90 minute drive and the expected rain to hold off until after both we and our luggage are on board. I’ll be following you from there.

Thank you for doing this review. I’m hoping to find a sailing that works for our schedule and sails out of Port Canaveral so it’s just a 90 minute drive for us. I agree that I’d prefer two full days there as opposed to the two half days that you had. There’s so many great places to go in Bermuda and so many things to do but so little time to spend there!

Ours are showing for our sailing September 8 on Wonder. I did see them disappear from our cruise planner in the time leading up to now, only to reappear a day or two later. I made our show reservations as soon as they first opened up and even when some of the shows disappeared from the booking page they still showed up in My Orders. I have heard a number of people on sailings before ours have show listings and even actual reservations disappear and then show up again so I don’t think you have anything to worry about. Both Voices and Effectors disappeared on us multiple times but always came back. Our Headliner Show was just posted today. I’ve checked for it multiple times daily. Our sailing is now two days out, so don’t lose hope.

Damaged luggage during embarkation

I remember that commercial! 😂 -
I was hoping to keep DH out of the Windjammer on embarkation day. Apparently that’s not going to happen. I don’t think I want to tell him in advance though. If I tell him and for some reason they don’t have this shrimp and lobster on Wonder Sunday we would be very disappointed. If they do, he will be a very happy husband! 😍 Andrew, glad you and Lisa and the rest of your gang had some decent weather in our home port, Canaveral. It’s been a bit rainy around here lately. The last time we has as much water in the retention ditch in the back of our house I was joking that they could float Symphony, at the time the largest cruise ship, right up to our back door. Probably wouldn't have worked though. Lots of water but not very deep.

Well, you’re off to quite the start! I can’t wait to see what happens next! I’ll be here for the next few days, but then will probably disappear for the next week because DH and I will be sailing on Wonder Of The Seas. By the thin we get home, your adventure will be just about to begin! Perfect timing! -
They don’t look comfortable to me either. I would also have a very hard time getting out of them! Good thing that’s not the only way to get to the beach! I’d never get there and if I did, I’d never get back off the beach. The sad thing is that a much younger me would have thought that trail was fun.

Disney ships may not be for you. No casino 🎰! The ships we’ve been on are beautiful, but lots of kids hyped up on sugar and caffeine plus parents who don’t, well, parent! Shows are excellent. My DH probably won’t mind the loud music. He will just take off his hearing aids. I do not have that option. 😂 I’m starting to wonder with all of the overly loud music I’m hearing people talk about if the powers that be at Royal Caribbean think the young party crowd they’re marketing to are deaf. 🤷♀️. I could understand if it was us boomers that they were marketing to. 🤷♀️ I have already recommended that to my DH! 😂 Going to order some now so I can test them out on Wonder next week! Maybe I’ll put in my post cruise survey that ear plugs should provided. I know a number of people who have already requested that the music should be played at a lower volume and they haven’t seemed to hear those complaints. Wait! Maybe it’s the powers that be who are deaf and think the decibel level of the music is just fine!

Live: Harmony of the Seas Western Caribbean Aug 25

Screaming kids weren’t any help to the bird. They only made the situation worse. The poor bird was scared enough already. Don’t feel bad about asking them to stop. Your sloth 🦥 and monkey pictures were adorable! We are booked to go to Maya Key in Roatan but I’m thinking of changing to what you did if they’re not already booked up. I do want some snorkeling time in Roatan though, so I’d have to be sure I could fit that in. -

I’m totally enjoying your cruise but have been running way behind so I haven’t been replying, just liking. That said, I did want to comment on the girls with a bird in their room. We gained a feathered stowaway when we were on Odyssey a couple of years ago and the way our pigeon was dealt with was a totally different experience. The pigeon, who we named Homer, was waiting for us on our balcony when we came back to our room one day. I went out and sat with him (or maybe her, idk) and realized after several failed attempts to fly off the balcony that Homer was unable to do so. It was too steep a takeoff for him to manage. He was stuck there. Called Guest Services, who connected me to housekeeping. They said that they get a lot of calls to rescue birds. They were at our room in about 15 minutes fully prepared with any equipment they might need to rescue a bird. It only took a few minutes for Homer to be safely captured and placed in a carrier. I was told that he would be taken to a special area they have set aside for animal rescues, checked over to be sure he was ok, and given food and water. We were heading to Grand Cayman the next day and they planned to release him there. No excuses at all as to why they couldn’t help. Although we were unable to make port in Grand Cayman as planned, I did run into the gentleman who came to rescue Homer that evening. He assured me that Homer was found to be well and was released right off the coast of Grand Cayman and had probably already joined the colony of pigeons who are permanent residents there.- 619 replies
