  1. Not a good start to the day in Naples. Dark, gloomy and raining. And, the ship's wiFi is out.
  2. It turned out to be a nice, mostly sunny day. Having been to Messina many times, my DW was extremely happy to spend the day in the shopping district.
  3. Arriving in Messina (Sicily) this morning. It is not supposed to rain, 🤞.
  4. Another great meal today at the MTG luncheon. Thank you @coo359a2for your company!
  5. So sorry, hope the symptoms remain mild. We were in isolation on the Emerald this past February. I hope they have improved their care of those in isolation since then.
  6. We are currently on the Regal and just visited Greece, Turkey, Italy, Spain, Croatia, Montenegro, and France. No visas required for U.S. citizens.
  7. There has been no change in mask wearing by the crew since we boarded. There are a few crew wearing masks, but not many. As far as passengers, there are not many wearing them.
  8. Well the rain finally got us today in Corfu. It rained on us while walking from the ship to town. Then it stopped for a couple of hours. It started raining again just as we returned to the ship at 1:15. The DW was very disappointed that all of the real shops (not the souvenir type) were closed today because it was Sunday. She normally loves shopping in Corfu. Another weird thing today is that we do not sail until 11 pm. We would have liked the late departure from one of the other major ports, not Corfu and definitely not on a Sunday. 🤔
  9. I can only speak on the bed that is in our cabin, it is extremely comfortable. I don't know how new it is, but we have been sleeping great!
  10. Tonight the DRO told us that the TA segment of our cruise is currently at 2,500 +/- passengers.
  11. Today in Dubrovnik the weather was chilly, mid-60's, and breezy. The day started off cloudy, but it burned off after lunch time. We made it to the old town before the tours showed up and enjoyed a fairly empty "King's Landing." We finally made it to the cable car that takes you way above the city. We tried a couple of times on prior trips, but the line was way too long. Today, there was no line at all. I would highly recommend it. The views were spectacular! The round-trip ticket is $28 per person. The restaurant at the top makes the best cappuccinos!

  13. We have not heard any mention of covid since boarding on Oct 26th.
  14. Another beautiful sunny day in Kotor. The weather forecast called for temperatures in the low 60's, they got it wrong again. It was mid-70's, definitely shorts and t-shirt weather.
  15. Only the Portside of the dining room is for Club Class, not the Starboard side of the dining room.
  16. We dined at Sabatini's last night, the food and service were fantastic!
  17. Per the Events & Loyalty Manager, the cut-off for the MTG luncheon for this voyage is 581 sea days.
  18. We have been "collecting" wine since the mid 80's. We are actively reducing our cellar by selling lots and gifting wine to our family and friends. Our goal is to be at 750 bottles over the next few years. We have stopped buying retail and cancelled most of our wine clubs. We never intended to collect wine as an investment tool but it has provided some unexpected dividends.
  19. Your assumption would be correct! 🙂
  20. We have yet to incur a corkage fee on this cruise. It is up to the individual server to charge for corkage and as @Steelers36 stated, be prepared for the charge. It is nice when they "forget" it. 😉 We definitely make up for it at the end of the cruise with a nice gratuity.
  21. Today in Livorno, it was mostly a sunny day in the high 60's. We planned to take our travel companions to Pisa for their first time. We were going to take the ship shuttle to town and then the city bus to the train station. When we exited the ship shuttle in town, there was a company selling bus transportation to Pisa for 15 euros per person round-trip. This was a no brainer! The bus left at 10 am and arrived in Pisa 40 minutes later. We had to be back to the bus at 1:15 pm. That was more than enough time to see Pisa. The same company was selling bus transfers to Florence for 30 euros per person round-trip.
