On the subject of cashing out casino credit, I was emergency transferred from the Discovery Princess while on a 7 day cruise from Seattle. We made it all the way to Victoria, B. C. when the good doctors decided that it would be for my benefit and health to be transferred to a hospital in Victoria. I told the ships officer that was handling the arrangements that I had a $480 in casino credit on the books in the casino and my wife, who was traveling with me on the ship and in the ambulance, also had a smaller amount ($80 credit). The ships officer told us not to worry and that the funds would be sent to us in a check. It is over a month later and we have heard or received nothing from the casino. Should I be concerned???

Just off the Discovery on a cruise to Alaska out of Seattle. Pants and shirts required in MDR but Cowboy hats are acceptable. Wear what you want, there is no enforcement of any dress codes or suggested wear.

I Have Been Woefully Ignorant Regarding Tips
WmFCoyote replied to SargassoPirate's topic in Princess Cruises
I do not know where you actually live but to tout the "incredible tax-and duty-free savings off suggested U.S. retail prices on fragrances, cosmetics, jewelry and gifts, apparel and liquor." is not my experience. I live in Nevada and am able to purchase almost (I am not going to say 100%) all items that they sell in the shops on the ships for 8% to 20% less and this is including our 10% off on non "sale" items. I do not see deals... -
Who provides the instructions on this?

Received an E-mail from Princess informing us that our upgrade offer to go from a standard (BD) balcony (C708) to a Premium Deluxe (D4) Balcony (C740) Aft Facing. When bidding opened, price range started at $80 per person. We submitted a "weak" bid of $100 which was accepted. Cruise is on the Discovery Princess sailing on a 7 day round trip from Seattle on 27 August. -
When filling out the medallion order it requires you to enter a CC number. Then you hit the continue button it comes up with a $10 shipping charge and the statement that all sales are final. I have the plus package and thought that shipping of medallions to our home was free. Another way Princess grabs some more nickels and dimes?

If Princess adds, as an after thought, that it is for "New Bookings Only" isn't that a deceptive practice? Is that allowed? -
Princess doubles Military Benefit thru 7/21
WmFCoyote replied to emeraldlake's topic in Princess Cruises
Following Astro Flyer's advice, I went to the e-mail from Princess that gave this offer and clicked on the destination "Alaska". Once there, I scrolled through until I found my cruise on the Discovery for the 27th of August. Now that I found it and I assume that if it is listed, that it is eligible, what do I do next??? -

This was the fine print on the bottom of the offer to double the MOBC. "We’re deeply grateful to those who serve our country. That’s why we’d like to make your next vacation extra special. Due to your verified military status, you can receive up to $500 to spend on board*. Even better, your military benefit is combinable with most other promotional offers, including additional onboard spending money. Plan an adventure you’ll love, and save big with these deals. *Up to $500 onboard spending money is valid for eligible military personnel in the U.S. and Canada and is only applicable to the first guest in a stateroom. If a second eligible military personnel will be occupying the same stateroom, please contact 1.800.PRINCESS to receive onboard spending offer for second eligible guest. Maximum of two onboard credit offers per stateroom. This offer cannot be used for casino credits/charges and crew incentive, discretionary hotel and dining charges. Onboard spending money is applied to the folio of the veteran or active-duty personnel’s stateroom. Offer excludes Travel Agent and Interline fares. Offer may be combinable with other promotions included other onboard spending money offers. Offer not combinable with shareholder benefits. Other restrictions may apply. Eligibility includes active military, retired military and disabled military veterans with proper verification as outlined on Princess.com/military_benefit_program/. Onboard spending money amount varies based on voyage duration:" -
Princess doubles Military Benefit thru 7/21

I have received the same e-mail as tothemall&beyond, I agree that there are no limits except that the offer expires on 22 July2024. OBMC rates shown in box at bottom of offer says 6 Days or less = $100, 7 to 13 days = $200 and 14 days or longer = $500. The campaign code is the same, RF3MD053 and the promo code is MM5 Also it does NOT SAY "New Bookings only" so I believe it would work for rebookings also> I have sent an e-mail to my TA asking her how to take advantage of this offer. -

Will someone give me an approximate cost for a taxi from SeaTac to the pier (Princess is 91 correct?) for 2 people. Would do a ride share but being from the country, have no knowledge of wow it works. Thanks -
Military and shareholders OBC no longer combinable soon.
WmFCoyote replied to HaveDogWillTravel's topic in Princess Cruises
We submitted a request to SBPCL on Friday to have my wife's shareholders benefits added to our 17 November 2024 Panama Canal cruise. I already have military OBC so we were waiting to see what happens. This morning, I checked the booking and low and behold, we now have Shareholders OBC for her and Military OBC for me. Hope this clears things up a bit -

What's your room number? -- 2 surprises
WmFCoyote replied to CaliforniaDon's topic in Princess Cruises
Why not just give each passenger a plastic card with their name and room number on it to show to the waiter staff when ordering a drink. If they do this they can also color code the card to indicate what level you are with Princess.- 51 replies

Where did you send the stockholders benefit request to? I have an address to snail mail it but would rather e-mail or fax the request. Thanks -
We were on the Island Princess on the Trans-Atlantic cruise which departed Rome in December. While crossing the Ocean my wife started to have chest pains and her BP went high. We went to the ships medical office and saw the doctor. The performed tests and said that it was not a heart attack. Some meds were prescribed and given to her by the medical staff. Now, 3 days into a 7 day crossing her pain became so severe and her BP went so high that the medical staff decided to keep her in the medical unit until we reached Ft. Lauderdale. The staff of the ship's medical office were outstanding and managed to get her BP under control while on the ship. (We were too far from land for an air evac.) When we reached Ft. Lauderdale my wife was taken by ambulance to the Broward Medical Center where she spent 5 days. It was determined that she had 2 blocked (one 70% the other 90%) arteries. We purchased Princess Insurance (the higher rate) and we also have coverage from Tri-Care for life. We assume (maybe) that between them they will pay the on board medical charges. For the Ft. Lauderdale stay we will use Tri-Care and Medicare. Yesterday, I received a letter from the Princess Credit and Collections Department requesting full payment. I replied that we do not have funds available to pay and that we were insured by their recommended insurance carrier that we wait and let the companies (Tri-Care and AON) settle things. W have provided AON with the documentation they requested with the exception of the "Attending Physician" report (Doctor is somewhere out there on the Island princess on the world cruise Any suggestions or opinions as what to do next?

How is the bidding system doing? Any comments?
WmFCoyote replied to Bwana Tom's topic in Princess Cruises
We are booked on the 14 November cruise from Rome to Ft. Lauderdale (28 days) on Island Princess. We waited for an upgrade offer and none came. We mentioned this to friends who are also on this cruise (same cabin type and deck) and they forwarded an e-mail from Princess which offered them an upgrade, at a price of course. I have spoken to an PCL agent who went over our information (Booking number, Name, agreement to accept offers etc. and was unable to find the reason we were skipped. Sent e-mail to customer service and have had no reply. We are disappointed that we did not receive a answer or the offer. -

WmFCoyote replied to Bwana Tom's topic in Princess Cruises
We are upset with the way PCL has handled the "Upgrades". We are on the 28 day Med and TA cruise which sails on 14 November from Rome. We have been waiting for an E-Mail to offer us the chance to upgrade at a price. A friend also on this sailing, informed us that they received an offer on 19 October. We have received none. We are also booked in a B2 Balcony. We have heard nothing from PCL. This is not our first cruise (over 30) and we qualified and opted into receiving offers. Not saying we would have bid, but would have liked the offer to bid. Disappointed -
