  1. Remind me to never share a secret with you, LOL. You can be assured now that no Sky Suite passenger will ever get that perk again!
  2. I have been told by multiple butlers onboard that only the top-most suites on board can get Luminae and specialties for room service. I personally ordered from Luminae while on Summit in the Penthouse. Our butler offered us a specialty as well but we didn’t take him up on it as there were two in our party who were not in the Penthouse with the other three of us and we didn’t want to push it with the requests even though he did accommodate all five of us en suite one evening from Luminae. On another cruise while dining in Luminae one night our server told us the guests in one of the Penthouses on that cruise dined in their cabin every night with food delivered from Luminae. That was actually when I first heard about that even being an option. That server also confirmed it was only an option for Penthouse. All this information was in regards to S and M class. I’m sure others in Royal Suite will report being able to have this service too but that seems to be inconsistent as I believe others have been told no so it may depend on how busy a particular sailing is and how overloaded a particular butler is and maybe even the CC level of the passenger (Elite Plus or Zenith they might say yes). For Edge class the Iconic Suite would definitely have this perk but not sure about Penthouse or Edge Villa.
  3. Don’t like the odds then don’t play or find a cruise line that offers odds that meet your criteria. I go in to my cruise casino play (slots) knowing that they are on average tighter than at a land-based casino and manage my play accordingly.
  4. The cabin near the hump is positioned under the Oceanview Cafe. I was in 2182 on this ship, just a few doors down, and found the noise from above highly irritating. There were sounds all through day and night (rolling carts, loud footfalls, clanking and clattering). If you are a light sleeper I would absolutely avoid this cabin at all costs. If you are rarely in your cabin and sleep soundly at night then it may not be an issue for you.
  5. Why are you angry at Celebrity? This was kind of a freak rare occurrence and in order for them to resolve it in the middle of cruising season they have to cancel a sailing; you just happen to be on the unlucky sailing. What did you expect them to do? Continue with your sailing and reduce port times or possibly cancel a port and additionally risk continued damage to the ship by sailing with the barnacles attached? If you want to protect your airfare then you need to purchase it from the cruise line or buy travel insurance.
  6. Some people need to use a straw because they have issues with cold sensitivity in their teeth. But thank you so much for sharing.
  7. Celebrity is not doing testing between back to backs anymore??
  8. This seemed inevitable with the multiple cruises already being impacted with itinerary changes.
  9. Yes, a million people dead and counting in the United States alone. Very minor.
  10. It's such a waste to have LPC in that space every night. I wish they would rotate it and have some other menu every other night or at the least offer Le Grand Bistro for brunch and lunch in that space.
  11. That's ridiculous. I would be highly irritated. What are they doing to address the barnacle issue exactly? Do they just keep scraping the hull as they dock in every port? Or does this require a quick dry dock to actually resolve the issue?
  12. This makes sense. Gen X runs approximately from 1964 to 1981 which would be people aged 41 to 58. Honestly, I think that has been their sweet spot demographic even before Edge class, at least since S class debuted. With Edge it seemed like they were actually trying to expand into the Millennial market especially with all the vloggers and social media types they have been inviting onboard the past few years. Not sure if it's been working though.
  13. Eden is essentially the Sky Lounge replacement in many aspects. During the day it is a quiet space with a multi-deck glass wall with spectacular sea views and a variety of spaces to sit and relax including adjacent outdoor spaces to sit (something the Sky Lounges do not have). In the evening there is the bar (which is separate and above from the restaurant space) and I believe there is some entertainment going on even if you are not in the dining room (there was anyway when I was on Edge in 2018). You might want to check that out.
  14. Every other ship has a schedule now through winter of 2023/2024 except Infinity. Its last sailing is in September 2023 in Europe. Will it be leaving the fleet after that? Or is it possible that it will be doing China/Japan itineraries but they can't set them up yet due to China's Covid restrictions? With Edge and Millennium already over in that part of the world that seems like a lot of ships in that region during one season but there will also be pent up demand. Just wondering what people may have heard recently regarding the future of the ship.
