Thank you for responding. I appreciate it. We were thinking of cabins that are more under the pool area, but it’s good to know that you a had quiet space. -
SEMI-LIVE: Majestic - Sydney to New Zealand, December 22
KruzPrincess replied to charliedalrymple's topic in Princess Cruises
I’m planning to book a cruise on the Majestic in 2024. I am planning to book a mini suite on the Lido deck under the Hollywood pool area. I’ve tried to research this location for opinions on whether this would have a lot of noise from above. Up until now I’ve mostly heard that these cabins are quiet and nothing much happens in the Hollywood pool area, especially at night. In this thread I read that they’re having loud (deafening) parties up there. I’m looking to confirm and get opinions about booking Lido deck cabins below the Hollywood pool. Does anyone have a Lido cabin? I appreciate your opinions. Thanks in advance. -
Question: Are Majestic Princess Lido deck cabins noisy?
KruzPrincess replied to KruzPrincess's topic in Princess Cruises
I’m readdressing my original question because I was just reading the Majestic live thread that’s currently circulating. In that thread it says they have a late night party in the Hollywood Pool area and the sound is deafening. Previously everything I read said that the Hollywood Pool area is pretty quiet at night. I’m looking for people who have been in a Lido mini recently. What was your experience with noise? -
Question: Are Majestic Princess Lido deck cabins noisy?

I have had forward cabins before and my friend loves the location, so I think we’ll be okay. Mostly I was worried about noise, but everyone has made me feel better about that. -

Question: Are Majestic Princess Lido deck cabins noisy?
KruzPrincess replied to KruzPrincess's topic in Princess Cruises
Thank you so much. I really appreciate it. -
I’m going to book a cruise on the Majestic Princess for next year. I usually book cabins midship to aft, but my friend really likes Lido deck forward cabins. I have some concern about noise from the Hollywood Conservatory above. We will be booking a mini suite on the side, not a forward cabin. Has anyone stayed in these cabins? Was it noisy from moving deck chairs, etc. ? Thanks in advance.

Oceania / Regent cruisers try Norwegian
KruzPrincess replied to marne-c's topic in Regent Seven Seas Cruises
Fortunately my TA advised me in advance that NCL charges a gratuity on the drink package. I decided to opt out of the drink package and purchase drinks separately. I’m not much of a drinker, though, so it worked for me. -
There were olives on the plate if this was in the Crown Grill. Possibly an olive mixture as I’ve never seen individual olives on a plated meat, but who knows.
-
So, most likely, there were olives on the plate if this was in the Crown Grill? Just guessing, but they’ll say the pit wasn’t in the crab cake and was just served in the olive mixture served with it. They’ll claim anyone should be careful when eating olives similar to fish/bones or cherries/pits. Makes it more complicated. JMO.

Wasn't Cruising Easier Pre-Medallion?
KruzPrincess replied to SargassoPirate's topic in Princess Cruises
The simple answer is that I think it was easier. I don’t mind the app or medallion, but I think it used to be easier. -

I’ve cruised quite a bit, but I’ve never cruised on Cunard. I know that some of the other cruise lines under the same ownership umbrella offer occasional specials where you can book a cruise with a reduced deposit. Does Cunard do this? If so, when might I expect to see this? Thanks in advance.

Movies Under The Stars On NE Canada Itinerary?
KruzPrincess replied to Suncitycruiser1925's topic in Princess Cruises
Yes, they’ll show movies. They have blankets you can cover up with. I’ve worn a jacket. They show movies in pouring rain. I can’t answer about what’s showing now. -
Think I have fallen out of love with Princess
KruzPrincess replied to windsurferfirst's topic in Princess Cruises
Honestly, that’s pretty much me in a nutshell. I’ve spent many years seeing shows in Las Vegas, Reno and Lake Tahoe. I’d be fine if I never saw another production show. Cruise ship shows aren’t that good. I dislike sitting in the MDR every evening. It takes too long. I no longer sit in the sun. Although you didn’t mention it, I don’t drink anymore, so I don’t go to bars. None of those things are why I cruise. I just want to be on the ocean. I love seeing nature and natural beauty. It makes my cruise if I see whales. It’s wonderful if I can go somewhere I’ve never been. I love being away from real life. After a career of dealing with people all the time, I don’t really need to socialize. I have met some of my best friends on cruises, though, but I don’t pursue that. I read a lot of books in a quiet spot. Yes, occasionally I see a show and eat in the MDR, but that’s not why I cruise. To the OP: I’m sorry you were disappointed. It happens. Maybe you should try some other cruise companies. I did try several and usually end up coming back to Princess.
