  1. Good to know. Thank you. I think i got the wife on board (pun intended) im just waiting for the right sale. Im gonna keep an eye on it and if it doesnt get any lower i'll probably pull the trigger on whatever cyber monday sale they have.
  2. I remember them doing it but i think they stopped it wayyy before covid.
  3. I did a 12 day and honestly didnt like it but its become obvious that it had more to do with leaving out of NYC and the fact that it was an inaugural cruise.
  4. It was only really Ocho Rios that i had heard bad things about. Basically that its the Nassau of the Western Caribbean. Basically if you go on an excursion, youre fine just dont go wandering off by yourself.
  5. Multiple people have said to get the same cabin. Im assuming if we get the same cabin we dont have to pack up in-between sailings?
  6. I didnt even think about going to get more wine in-between, what a great idea. We've been to the A/C parts of the ABC and we loved them both.
  7. Thank you for the tip. We like the oceanview with the toddler. If we pull the trigger, we'll try for the same room
  8. Ive always wanted to take a back to back cruise but never done it. Our next cruise isnt until 9/16/23 on the Horizon out of Miami. We are going to the ABC islands. Both the cruise before and after are going to Ocho Rios, Grand Cayman and Cozumel, all places that we've never been. My wife and i will be traveling with a 4yr old. Hes already been on two cruises and loved it but ive read that Western Caribbean route isnt the best for young kids? Anyone whos been on b2b's have any advice regarding the ship, the ports or doing a b2b with a kid?
  9. I booked a quick one on the Liberty in March...i think it was 9 days out
  10. I know theres no magic formula or amount of money to spend to get free cruises but do you remember about how many cruises you took before you started getting offers? Ive never gotten a free offer before but i have gotten discounts.
  11. Depends where on the ship you are. I had a cove last year, loved that it was enclosed and that we had shade. Liked being that close to the water but we had easily the worst noise above weve ever had on a cruise ship. We went to customer service on the 2nd day and the guy said "im not going to lie to you, you've probably got one of, if not the worst cabin on the ship for noise." We were right under the galley and i think we were also under the dishwasher or some big machine because the noise went on literally all night. If you dont have anything like that above you id stay in the cove.
  12. TBH its not like either but closer to GT. Meaning its safe and its a very very laid back island but there is no port to speak (at least there wasnt when i was there). It was literally one long slab of concrete with a tram running back and forth to the ship. To the best of my knowledge, this was not a cruise destination until post pandemic when cruise lines had to get more creative. We took a sting ray beach excursion and loved it. Beautiful island
  13. Yeah i know. That's why i specified the ships that i was on that had it and the ships that i was on recently that did not.
  14. Depends on what ship youre on. I was on both the Magic & Liberty this year and like the person above said they have two channels and theres not much selection. I was also on the Mardi Gras and it had the on demand movies, like the Horizon also did. However the select is limited and the movies that were available were the same ones as in July, and those were the same ones that were available in March. Set your expectations to mediocre and you'll be good.
  15. I think they may have finished it. I was just on the MG acouple of weeks ago and i didnt see any construction
  16. I can see why you would think that its a private island. Carnival owns the port not the island. Amber Cove is the name of the terminal not the city which is Puerto Plata so its very easy to get it confused. Same with Grand Turk, they own both ports, which are very nice imo. But yeah if you stray to far away from the port area it can get dicey.
  17. Tbh you didnt miss much with Grand Turk. Ive been twice since July and i dont think they've recovered from the lack of tourism plus i believe Fiona is the 2nd hurricane theyve been hit with recently. For my July cruise i brought my friend, who was a first timer, and he said he thought Grand Turk looked like a third world country....and this was before Fiona. The trick with Nassau is just finding a good excursion. We did the Blue Lagoon excursion and loved it
  18. I didnt realize how much i would love a shower door but then it happened and i fell in love with the shower door. I love the way the bathroom and the entire room in general is laid out. Much more storage, much more charging ports
  19. Tbh i think this is a semi common occurrence on every ship. I even smelled it alittle bit on the mardi gras when i was on it recently. Nothing major but i remember going through deck 4 and smelling it. I cant tell you specifically if i smelled on the liberty but honestly i dont think its that big of a deal.
  20. Its gonna be on the poolside theater. Ive watched MNF games out there and other sporting events. Im sure that will be on
  21. (immediately checks cruise manager to see if cruise is docked in Aruba on a Tuesday" ......WE ARE!!!! YES!!!!
  22. Hey! We will be on the same sailing! Cookie is easily our favorite CD in the fleet.
  23. Depending on what you need to do for work and what ship you are on you should possibly get away with the mid tier internet and not the premium. The only real benefit for premium is if you have to use facetime or stream.
