    Actually, not incredibly unusual. When developing websites, they have to be intensely tested on all browsers because data can be rendered differently. And in the push to go live, that may have been shorted, unfortunately. Speaking from experience. Somewhat embarrassed experience.

    We've been on Quest for over 3 weeks. Have 5 scheduled (around 70 days total) in the future and have never considered cancelling from our experience here on the ground so to speak. Everything is not perfect (e.g. took some time to get our TA OBC applied) but largely on par with our previous 200 days or so on these ships. And these 2 sailings are pretty complicated what with all of the regulations, immigration with Japan as well as the need for 4 visas for this sailing. I realize some are having issues, unfortunately, but ours has been very smooth. Submitted our visas on day 1 to GR and no problems with Sri Lanka or India. They are handling Egypt and Jordan so fingers crossed that it goes well. Lots of local sourcing of food which has enhanced the experience. Staff friendly and personable. Fly-on entertainment pretty good. Cast very good. Although we have a lot of sailings booked with other lines in the future and it would have been easy to jump ship on the 5 Azamara booked, we are staying put
  3. Continues to be spotty on Quest. Highest speeds in 3 weeks +/- 1.5 mps. Lowest, not including outages, less than .25 mps, like this very minute.

    I can only give our experience over the last 3 weeks. Total time expended maybe 20-30 minutes. Loyalty status, 0 time, incorrect on website, correct on ship. Azamara OBC, maybe 5 minutes on day 1 but verified on day 2. All correct. Future cruises not showing: 0 time. There is nothing they can do and since several months away, not going to agg over it. TA OBC: verifying it wasn't there, filling out form to send to Miami with TA verification and checking on TV, 15 minutes total. Cancelling shore excursion not cancelled on website, 2 or 3 minutes. Refund to OBC immediate. That's it. Less than 30 minutes time invested in 3 weeks. A non-issue for us. YMMV.

    Been on Quest for 20 days on 2 different sailings. First sailing Azamara OBC spot on, Circle status and points correct. TA OBC not showing, requiring a form to be filled out and submitted to Miami. Many pax with that problem. Second sailing all OBC appeared on account, both Azamara and TA, on day 2, yesterday. I would not worry about status or points or Azamara OBC. I would, however, request you TA to forward to you the Amenity Confirmation they receive when there is TA OBC involved.
  7. Only $66? That's a bargain. Our cruise of the last 17 days showed $3600 owing. The one we started today showed almost $6000 owing. It means nothing. If you are paid in full you will be paid in full when you get on the ship. OBCs from Azamara probably will show in error on the website. They likely will be fine when you board. Any OBCs from a TA could be a different story. The have not, in many cases, made it to the ship. Bring records and be prepared to need to follow up.

  9. Between Taiwan and Hong Kong in heavily trafficked sea lanes. But not that far from China coast which could be a factor.
  10. Quest definitely has Starlink and streaming was good 4 days ago. Pretty variable but when it is good it blows the old system out of the water.
  11. Quest this morning. Virtually unusable. No service big chunk of yesterday.

    If they are using the tablets on Onward for your bill, there is a screen for the tips before you sign. It is easy to miss and I almost pushed the wrong button when I wanted to add a custom tip.
  13. We boarded Quest on Tuesday and our faux $3550 balance not mentioned. OBCs correct on day 2. Tickets for pre-booked excursions in room. Quick and easy check and boarding. Only 3rd day, but sensing a difference in onboard experience from our dozen previous sailings, including 4 since restart. But too early to make a judgment since we will be onboard for 40 days.
  14. As far as I can see, it is for all cruises embarking in Japan. Our 2 in the last 30 days required testing. Azamara, however, is the only one not allowing self monitored tests.

  17. We have appointments with Total Testing but annoying that they won't accept a self proctored test. Would have made the process much simpler.

  19. We've had double confirmation that they changed the policy early in February and we need to secure our own visas for Vietnam. Ship is not doing them.

    That's absolutely what it means. And another day of delay, but having done migrations nowhere near as extensive, not a surprise.
  21. Glad you loved Madeira. After at least a dozen times there, we always look forward to returning. It truly is a magical place and anyone who visits Funchal only to "walk around the town" misses the beauty that is everywhere.

    I was able to get through to Azamara in about 2 minutes to inquire about something on an upcoming booking. This was through the main number: 1-833-292-2292 I first called the Azamara Circle loyalty number and got nothing but dead air. 1-888-532-5828
  23. Yokohama? Or Tokyo? See above. Currently Quest docks at Tokyo, not Yokohama. When is your sailing? And COVID testing starts when your scheduled arrival time is.
  24. Yes. That's why I showed the map to the poster who asked if they would be docking in Yokohama. We are staying in Yokohama for the Westerdam boarding and in Shimbashi for the Quest.
