  1. I don’t quite remember that early but Annie Walker was the landlady when I first watched. We went on the tour in 2013 or 2014, very interesting! As a child my sister and I used to go upstairs to bed as the credits rolled on the Street 😊
  2. I watch all of those except Andrew Marr, I love WiLTY!
  3. Have a great time Josy (and Wowzz) and belated Happy Birthday 🎂 x
  4. Morning all, very remiss of me not to pop in before but I know it takes so long to catch up on this thread! Work has been crazy busy as we’ve had 2 full timers move to different departments and us left are picking up the slack. I did a couple of split shifts last week 8-11 then 4-6. This meant on Thursday I went to visit a friend for lunch I haven’t seen since 2020! Although we’ve spoken on the phone it was great to see her again. My mum was supposed to have a procedure yesterday but the hospital have cancelled it until the Tuesday after Easter. Hope you are all well and enjoy the rest of your weekend.
  5. Maureen Lipman is the best thing about Corrie at the moment. I watch out of habit but it’s a shadow of its former self.
  6. Thank you Avril, they’re doing ok but they are always a worry! Today they are off to the fracture clinic for my Mum’s knee, she went last week but they decided it was arthritis then she got a letter for an appointment today! John and I think it’s a mistake but they are going anyway.Perhaps they’ll decide it is a fracture after all 🤷‍♀️ They have been married 64 years today ☺️ I really hope your knee gets much better in time for the wedding, hopefully it will be a wonderful day for you all.
  7. I saw that but it’s my Mum and Dad’s wedding anniversary today and in years gone by it was always the first day of Spring!
  8. I know if you want to upgrade before you go the price is based on what it was when you originally paid. I booked an inside cabin on Azura on launch in 2018 for 2020 knowing that if I could afford to upgrade it would be much cheaper as it would have been based on the 2018 price. Sadly it was the year of you know what so we didn’t even go. Tiger B’s story is very interesting though!
  9. I hope everyone had nice weekends - we had our son, partner and grandson over Saturday and my Mum and Dad on Sunday. Very nice family weekend that flew by. I did well with my Mother’s Day presents - flowers, chocolates and some pink Prosecco! The boy did well!
  10. Hello all, too much to read all I’ve missed I’m afraid. I might be finally putting back our October cruise today - I keep putting it off but having to pay the final balance 3 months before puts me off. I’ve finally found one both of us agree on - 2 weeks on Arvia in September 2024! I did pay the final balance on our 4 night cruise in June last week so fingers crossed we get to go!
  11. I am really surprised your children haven’t heard of her! I’m 58 and know who she is and have danced to her most famous song many a time - but then I worked in a Bank at the time and we had many good parties! ☺️ EDIT I’ve just checked and the song came out in 2005. (Don’t Cha)
  12. I watched it on YouTube a few days later and there were no dodgy subtitles ! I cringed at good old Paul Ludlow and lost interest at the cookery. I enjoyed both Olly Murrs and Nicole’s sets, at least they can sing live! I said to hubby ‘I wonder if she’s allowed to do a Pussycat Dolls song’ - and she did! I enjoyed seeing all that blue sky and sea - not jealous at all!
  13. As others have said the shuttle at Zeebrugge goes to Blankenburg which is very nice if the weather is good. Lovely beach with wide prom with many bars and restaurants .When we did it you couldn’t miss the train station as the vast majority got off the shuttle and streamed over to the station to go to Bruges. When we went to Bruges we did the P&O ‘on your own’ tour which was great but is a 20 minute walk from the drop off point. We did speak to a couple who’d got a taxi into Bruges and I think that drops you closer to the centre. Have you looked at the P&O excursions? They often have ones that are listed as being suitable for people with limited mobility although I think they may be drives in coaches rather than getting out of it much.
  14. I’m a black Americano girl but it drives me mad when some places bring me milk or say ‘do you want milk with that’ No! Americano means black coffee anyway so it annoys me I have to say ‘black Americano’! My rant for the day 😀
  15. Hubby had a birthday when we were onboard one year and he had a card in the cabin signed by Captain Camby. I hadn’t told anyone but like others the steward probably noticed the birthday cards I’d put up. Mercifully he didn’t get happy birthday sang to him at dinner- he would have hated it!
  16. When I used to work for a bank we had twice yearly surveys and we were told then that 7 and 8 ‘didn’t count’ and I left that job in 2019. If I was fed up of things I’d score 7’s and 8’s 😀
  17. Morning all, my late shift today so catching up this morning. I work at home today, in the office again tomorrow, luckily John has a day off tomorrow so at least I’ll get a lift in.
  18. Lovely, not jealous at all! It’s been bitterly cold here.
  19. Lovely! Love the Glass House on Azura, have a lovely cruise.
  20. Hope the driving lesson goes well Jane, it’s a great responsibility. I actually slept right through to 5.45am this morning! We had our new mattress delivered Thursday (wow can’t believe the price of them now!) and I don’t know if it’s a coincidence but I’ve had two decent nights sleeps.
