Celebrity cancelled the 2024-2025 South America season. 2025-2026 sailings go on sail Dec 5. We're taking Eclipse out of Buenos Aires in January 2024 so no tips yet but will have some when we return I'm sure.

Can you let us know who the cruise director is for your sailing? I see on the daily it is someone named Alexa but someone else mentioned it was Luigi.

I was recently on Jewel and had the coffee card. We could order any coffee we wanted and were charged per shot of espresso. So a grande which normally has 2 shots of espresso was 2 punches.

I had previously uploaded my vax info and it was approved for my UK cruise sailing on August 19. The vax section is now gone. Just a note, I think this is the earliest sail date I've seen reported on this thread. I also noticed the health questionnaire section asking about symptoms within the three days before sailing instead of 10 or 14 days.

What time did they start letting people off the ship?

Does this make a difference? I'm able to see offers but didn't book through them while my mom did and she can't see the offers.

When I was on Ovation in Alaska at the beginning of May, Celebrity Eclipse pulled into Sitka with us and we learned their Captain had reinstituted masking indoors due to the high number of cases. It is up to the Captain's discretion.

I think it's reasonable to still be worried about getting sick on vacation. I've been on 4 cruises since restart but still worried about coming down with something on each of them but was still able to enjoy myself. Up until the last one where I started getting sick the night before disembarkation. It really spoils the fun when you're that sick and stuck in your cabin. I recommend packing cold medicine just in case.

On my recent Ovation trip, there was a line for Sky (I think) guests and then everybody else in another line together. Nobody checked our reservation times. I had 10:30 so arrived at that time and had to wait but that was mostly because of issues from the prior sailing. Nobody was there initially to take our bags so we stood in line with them. Eventually a porter came around to the line to collect our bags just before they started letting people into the building. As the day went on, the lines got longer and I heard from others who arrived around 1:30 they had to wait several hours in line to get in. They did not check our ArriveCan but did check for vax records and test results. This was my 4th cruise since restart and definitely the most unorganized. All of my other trips stuck to the reservation times.

If we're close to capacity, I might be inclined to wear a mask in the more crowded areas. The golden days of light passenger loads are slipping away!

Anybody hear any rumors about how many will be onboard for the next sailing? Asking for a friend...😉
