  1. So what label do you address yourself as? 😉 I am a card carrying, proud, devoted member of the Baby Boomers club...yahh for me and all my senior friends. 😄
  2. OK....so bottom line. I am a senior citizen.... and so are a lot of my closet cruising friends. Call it what we want...we are still happy Boomers spending our savings until we can't, and enjoying every minute of it. Why do we need to label everything anyway? Old is old...but not dead. 😄 And BTW...the OP called this thread over 55...so yeah...I qualify!! 😉
  3. No, I was talking about boomers, as we are the retiree flavors of the month. 😉 We are also a pretty good size group of retirees that cruise a lot. Google search: As of July 2021, baby boomers were between 57 and 75 years old, with a birth year range of 1946–1964. In the United States, there are 71.6 million baby boomers.
  4. Oh no...it's the attack of the baby boomers. Run for your lives!! 😮 😱
  5. Ummm...yes...have those lined up. 😉
  6. Which does not work with the OP's mentioned 13 night TA. 😉 That is knocked back to the 7 night plus 100.00.
  7. We missed all of our tendered ports due to weather. Including Devils Island, the Falklands, and Punta Arenas. 😞 Our favorite port, fortunately docked....was Ushuaia. Very easy to walk into, and lots of things to see. Great restaurants!
  8. Since the failure (IMHO) of the whole MTD program, we have been booking first traditional dining for years now. If for some reason we will not be at our table on any given night, I always inform the dining host that our table is available for others. We had Chops one night, and told the host in advance that we will not be there that one night, but will keep the others. The next night after Chops, we simply walked straight to our table as usual. A woman came up to us and told us we were at "her" table. I told her that was not true. She dragged one of the head waiters over who demanded to know why we sat ourselves at that table. I kept my cool, and pulled out my sea pass card...showed him the table assignment on my card, then pointed to the table number on the table. Said "What do you know.....we seem to have a match"!! Some crow was eaten at that point, as he told us the pax from our Chops night insisted they receive that table for the rest of the week. They were MTD pax. 😉
  9. As I mentioned...my Stevia packets travel with me. Then curiosity stuck me about the Almond milk. I don't use it, but my sister needs to do lactose free. Found a lot of this online. Travel worthy. 🙂
  10. I think the OP was asking if the kids actually needed the passports to cruise. Answer: No...not needed on a closed loop cruise. Preferable, and a good idea? Yes, I agree....but bottom line is the OP can take her kids and grandkids using their birth certificates.
  11. No idea on the Almond milk, but I don't take chances on not getting my Stevia. I bring a large ziplock bag of my own on every cruise. It's very light weight to pack. 😉
  12. Huh???!!! Wasn't this your post #67? 🤔 There is absolutely nothing in Falmouth that would ever make me want to venture outside the gates for.
  13. We had a fantastic independent local walking food tour the last time we were there. Would do it again. Loved it!
  14. No, you don't need the passports on closed loop US cruises. And no, you won't be going to Labadee (a highly guarded, gated off small peninsula on the north Coast of Haiti). IMHO...that port of call might be going away for a long time.
  15. Thanks! We were there last year, loved it. Great walking town and pretty waterfront. 🙂
  16. LOL...I am packing for the last quarter of RCI world cruise out of Barcelona next week. 😉
  17. I just hope they work something out. I most definitely don't want to have my Aussie circumnavigation cruise cancelled. That has happened twice now with RCI (once for Covid, but once for no reason at all well past restart)...and is the reason we switched to Viking for that adventure.
  18. Hah!! I resemble that remark!! 😄 😄 Though I did find it interesting when I pull up the Celebrity website to look for new cruises, I see older faces...gosh we do still exist!!. On all the Royal website pictures...it is always and only ....young families with kids...
  19. Agree....we love the drink voucher program on Royal! Anywhere, at anytime ....it is happy hour for us. 🥰 We unexpectantly became a Zenith equivalent...without even having been on an X ship before. Supposedly now have the premium drink package. Not sure how that all works, happy to have it, but more importantly for me...the WIFI package. 🙂
  20. Me too. First cruise with X for us in December. Then became even sweeter for us when they came out with the status match with Royal for perks on X. 😉
