FCC and Refundable Deposits
Ken at the beach replied to vjmatty's topic in Royal Caribbean International
It does not matter of the booking is refundable or not. Since you have to pay a deposit (Those FCC's cannot be used as a deposit) the FCC's would be reinstated as long as you cancelled prior to final payment. After final payment they would be subject to the cancellation penalties on the booking whether it's a refundable or non refundable booking. When they are reinstated they are subject to the same use by and sail by dates of the original FCC which in this case given the type of FCC it is would have a use by and sail by date of 12 months from the date of issue -
I have no idea what the rules are in Europe but it definitely cannot be done for North American bookings. The ability to move or cancel after final payment ended in late 2022 (Sept 30 if I recall correctly). After final payment you are in one of several penalty phases based on how many days from sailing you are.

Sorry to hear about your dog. Unfortunately as others have stated you will only get back port fees and taxes. Cancel for any reason insurance has to be purchased within a set number of days of booking your cruise so that's not an option. The only thing I can suggest is if you have a friend or relative that wants to travel solo you can change one name on the booking as long as one name remains. The friend boards and the original passenger is a no show. Might allow you to recoup a small portion of the fare or at least gift a cruise to someone.

Questions regarding b2b
Ken at the beach replied to sadiwest's topic in Royal Caribbean International
B2b cruisers are free to disembark with other guests earlier in the day. Just ask for an in transit card yo bypass the line when getting back on the ship. -

A couple of miles north of me this guy escaped from the zoo and is successfully eluding those trying to find him. Not everyday you can drive down the road and see a kangaroo in Canada. https://www.google.com/search?q=kangaroo+on+the+loose+oshawa&sca_esv=587464862&rlz=1C1RXQR_enCA975CA975&tbm=vid&sxsrf=AM9HkKkx4jN7B5iWwt7lefDVruNPWQYemw:1701608828179&source=lnms&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwih9P_tqvOCAxVrFTQIHRK1BhMQ_AUoA3oECAUQBQ&biw=1243&bih=722&dpr=2.2#fpstate=ive&vld=cid:fb925106,vid:RSav8TL2r98,st:0

Comped cruises still pay taxes and fees and are awarded points

Yes you can use it on an already booked cruise. If you cancel that cruise the FCC will be reinstated with it's original expiry date. Certificates issued for on board issues usually have a use by and sail by date of 1 year and are non transferrable.
