  1. Was the Gala night on a sea day? And if yes, second third or fourth? Trying to figure out when it might be on our 10 day. We have 5 sea days!
  2. We got a phone call two days ago to upgrade to a suite from an aft balcony. For less than $50 pp/day. We jumped on it.
  3. Wow, thank you so much! That was a lot of work to do that and very appreciated! Those menus look awesome. How can you chose between chocolate melting cake and grand mariner soufflé on the same day?!
  4. I’ve found it hard to get reservations at 7 or 7:30 pm in the specialty restaurants on the Sunshine. They are often sold out a month ahead of sailing. So I like to look at the menus ahead of time and book on days when the menu is less appealing.
  5. I have found an 8 day menu … we’re just trying to plan what days to book specialty dinning
  6. Why would t someone share a ten day menu? It’s hardly a state secret. I can easily find the 8 day menus … I do realize that there are not many ten day cruises on Carnival but there are enough that these should be floating around. And yes, supply chain issues means things may change - but same for any length cruise menu
  7. I’ve been unable to find the menu rotation for a ten day cruise. Does anyone have this? Or is there a formula like it is two five day menus? TIA!
  8. Awesome to have your own dressing room/closet room/bathroom!
  9. Oh good idea! Thanks. Pretty sure the Carnival 800 number would not have had this information!
  10. No, not at all. You can pretty much but not always tell by a CC post. These are pretty hardcore cruisers for the most part. Phone service by Carnival is much less on point. Most have never cruised, received very little training, and the Carnival policies themselves are not clear. If someone on Cc can offer up actual experience it is far more valuable.
  11. I think we’ll go with the no drama of a no show. I hope that occupant can get a solo drink package! Probably need a separate topic but if anyone knows…
  12. Hah! Slim to none chance some random person who answers the Carnival phone line will give you accurate answers. Time and time again better information here. (And have you tried calling recently? Hold times through the roof and a ton of newbie agents well meaning but clueless.)
  13. We are a family of four sailing in 2 cabins. All paid for by “mom” on her CC. One tested positive and won’t cruise. We don’t share a household with this person, they were going to fly in and join us. What are our options? (We don’t have travel insurance. That is a deliberate choice. We “self insure” and over the decades are way out on top. If we don’t get FCC I’m fine with that, but if it is on the table don’t want to let it go.) can you cancel one in a room and get a FFC? But then does ‘single supplement’ kick in? Would they let us swap someone else in without penalty? If only one pax sails in that cabin, can he get the drink package for himself? They weren’t going to get it as the other pax doesn’t drink.
  14. We were cruising on one of the old carnival fascination class ships, and a woman walked to the back of the serenity deck, knelt briefly seemingly in prayer, opened a container and attempted to throw ashes into the sea. But of course, the wind took them, and they blew right back on deck, scattering them everywhere. Not a pretty sight. It was probably a pet though the volume wasn’t as great 🙂 (The “official” way is obviously the way to do it!)
  15. Title says it all. Same thing happened yesterday, could not place orders. Carnival extended through today. We were not able to go online until a few hours ago - and have been trying ever since. I hope they extend again but I'm not holding my breath.
  16. My daughter and her friend are booked in one cabin/booking on Carnival. Neither drinks alcohol so they will get the basic soda package. Her husband (who couldn’t make the sail date but now is able to) has booked a second room with a mutual friend. They plan to both get the drink package. They also plan to swap rooms - so the married couple can be together. I understand they can go to guest services and either swap out the assignment or just get an extra key for the two “swapping” - is that correct? I recall reading it is fairly routine? And is it any way complicated by the drink package as they will end up in “mixed” rooms. (They are not doing it to evade the policy, to worth the complexities just to do that!) Advice and experiences needed, thanks!
