  1. 😀 You don’t need an inverter for iPads, iPhones (and their android counterparts) just fyi. As I learned when doing the ”research” for this trip they are made ‘dual-voltage’ so you only need an adapter …
  2. Copper, we are in the same TA sailing. Our fifth time on Divina, we love this ship and the YC crew is fantastic. Divina usually uses Pier C. The YC drop-off tent is just as the cars enter into the Pier C drive (so you see it first). We have found Uber/Lyft to be the best for Miami transport but not sure from Hollywood. One piece of advice is to bring 2 or 3 plug adapters so you can use the several European receptacles in your room that would otherwise go to ‘waste’. Divina is older so not enough receptacles and no dedicated USB ports.
  3. You are not allowed to. But I believe many report bringing on a bottle or two and “nobody cares”.
  4. You mean you can’t order a double drink on RCCL/suite lounge? Just a miserly shot pour? Msc YC will make it as big as you want! A triple for your room? No problem!
  5. Wow, a manatee! Never seen one in that harbor but know to look now! One of my favorite things about the Divina is all the small music venues that you mentioned. I that feature really serves well to distribute the guests plus each to his own. And I agree, it isn’t too loud. I also love the promenade which goes “mostly” around the ship - and notice you have one of the coveted larger angled balconies. How do you like it?
  6. Cruisematic, if you made YC your “headquarters”. It would be about a 5-8 minute walk to the near side of the lagoon beach for family swim time. TwoWheels only, does that seem about right?
  7. If you are just walking over to the lagoon to swim, not far at all - see the map. I just don’t know where cabanas are located. Might or might not be further.
  8. Honestly, the YC beach is just not great for swimming/kids. It is a narrow stretch, with rows of beach chairs, and a small slice of ocean cordoned off for swimming. Also, I’ve never seen a need to rent cabanas at the YC beach. There is plenty of shade (umbrellas, trees), and bar staff circulate for drinks. I’d rather eat in the restaurant than be served in a cabana. (They are not great - small, open … not luxurious like some other private islands have.) You could forego a cabana completely. Park yourselves in the YC lounge chairs but then go spend a few hours by the lagoon.
  9. I’ll try to upload a map - red is the YC area, green would be great locations to rent a non-YC cabana
  10. I think kids would probably enjoy other beach areas more, unless they are really into bouncing around in a small slice of ocean on a small beach. (The beach part is sandy, the entry to the ocean rocky.) I would say this even if you were able to rent a beachfront YC cabana. So if your focus is on the kids, maybe rent a “regular” cabana on the lagoon, which is a great beach/swim experience for kids. And plan to walk over to the YC area for lunch … and if you bring some Yeti type barware, for refills-to-go of your favorite adult beverages. (Or you could grab the YC tram to get to/from.) There may be some cabanas that are closer to the YC area so I’d look for those.
  11. Really? Just three weeks ago or so not necessary
  12. The tent is at the “front” of the line - just as you enter the terminal c loop.
  13. Does anyone have personal experience getting the PH treatment in these deck 9/10 SN suites?
  14. The gem is moving to a nearby port - so starting to research categories. Any further information/experiences on whether SN acts get the full PH treatment? Only I only care about the breakfast/lunch benefit (Modernos, Cagneys)
  15. That advice applies to appliances like hair driers! Modern electronics (iPhones, iPads etc) are “dual voltage” - they are made for the world market. They can safely be plugged into the opposite receptacle with a simple adapter. Google it.
  16. I have to believe the answer is “yes”. They are certainly not on any prohibited list, and I imagine bridal parties and newlyweds bring them on all the time. Great idea BTW!
  17. yes, but a Disney cruise costs about 3x as much. I’d rather see a few rust stains and chipped tile and cruise more!
  18. I’ve read you guys are really experiencing “weather” and may return late?
  19. I agree they should be identical, regardless of who pays. My husband and I both have the same even though it always goes on one of our accounts. we had a missing trip once and it took months to get it resolved so good luck!
  20. Just off YC and did not hear that, but honestly it would not surprise me. The YC beach area is extremely rocky - maybe they can do some heavy excavating to improve that? And the lovely dining/bar area barely fits the passengers from a not quite full Divina - if it is to accommodate the new mega ships I imagine it is almost a full “re-do”. And of course some genius only put one bathroom (and by that I mean one stall!) in the original/current facility (seriously, how could that have happened?!). Brining that up to snuff is also a big project. So, even though I heard nothing, would make good sense (but sorry for you if so OP!) Looking forward to hearing what others may know.
  21. You will love the Divina YC crew! You will quickly meet “Pepe”, the YC Director who is the most hands on manager ever. Also Mehmet is the Maitre D’, equally wonderful. Have a great time!
