  1. A little before 3 pm, we head to the Firebird Lounge for our rapid antigen test, which is required for our next cruise. I think we were more nervous for this test then any of our previous tests, because we had read the many accounts of people saying they tested positive after debarking their cruises. When we got to the Firebird Lounge, we found that they hadn’t even begun setting up yet. You would have thought they would have already been ready for us! They finally set up for testing….. There were around 42 B2Ber’s that had to be tested, so it would take a little while. When we were done, they told us to go back to our cabin, and if we don’t hear from them in a half an hour, we were negative. So back to the cabin we went. That phone better not ring! Well, we beat the clock, and eventually we received the paper copy of our results….. Happy and relieved that it was over, we went down to the Casino Bar to celebrate with Angela. She was so happy that we would be sailing with her the next cruise….. Always working, Patti took shots of some of the Casino Bar menus….. To be continued……
  2. We are sailing past the Norwegian Getaway….. We are sailing past the fort…… Looking back at an empty Snorkel Park Beach and Fun Golf….. To be continued…..
  3. It never did stop raining, so we never left the ship. We sail at 1 pm, so Patti and I decide to watch our sail away from our balcony. Of course, now the rain stops! Time to throw the lines….. Now that the rain has stopped, the Floating Fun Park is getting some action….. We are now sailing from Bermuda….. To be continued……
  4. We watch another wave runner tour leave the Dockyard….. Here are some more rainy Dockyard pictures taken from our balcony. There are not many people out and about….. The Bermuda ferries keep running though….. To be continued…..
  5. Day # 5 - 9/1/22 - Bermuda day # 2 (back on board 12:30 pm). We were up at 7am, and our wishes didn’t come true. It is still pouring outside! If it stops raining, our plan is to walk over to the National Museum of Bermuda. In any event, here are today’s “Fun Times”….. We also received our B2B information last night. We are required to be tested to meet Canadian regulations, and that will happen at 3 pm this afternoon in the Firebird Lounge….. We head up to the Lido for breakfast, and afterwards head back to the cabin to wait (hopefully), for the rain to stop. Patti gets some laundry together to send out, and I work on the multitude of pictures that Patti took yesterday. Here are some more views of a rainy Dockyard….. To be continued…..
  6. Thanks for reading and your kind words! There's a lot more to come, as we're really just getting started!
  7. Here’s another view of the Norwegian Getaway docked at the Heritage Wharf…. The Carnival Legend docked at King’s Wharf….. Our cabin is up there somewhere….. Patti instructs me to board the ship, and then go stand out on our balcony. Of course, I comply….. Pretty much the camera was put away for the day at this point. We hung out in the cabin until 7 pm when they started selling the cards for tonight’s edition of Deal or no Deal…… The show started at 7:30. We have our cards, and our drinks are coming…… The first player won $350, the second player won $200, and our cards won $50, so we came out $10 ahead for the night. Afterwards, Patti decided to go to the Deli for a turkey wrap, and I went to Punchliner’s to see Matt Sadler’s 8:30 PG show. He was very funny for it being a PG show, so I’ll give him an 8.5 out of 10. I met Patti back at the cabin around 9:30. Here is tonight’s towel animal….. Coming up next: Rain, Rain, please GO AWAY!
  8. It was just about 5 pm and it was starting to rain again, so we decided to head back to the ship. The Carnival Legend is there waiting for us….. Looks like a wave runner tour is about to depart….. Here are a few pictures from around the pier area….. The Restless Native is returning to port….. Courtesy shuttles are lined up and waiting for those that need them….. To be continued…….
  9. Patti is inside the Clocktower Mall now….. Patti is back outside again, and on the move….. Earlier, I had told Patti that I was going to move from the Frog & Onion over to the Bonefish Bar & Grill, not to be confused with the chain restaurant. Patti met me there….. We had some drinks and a late lunch. I had the flat bread pizza, and Patti had the chicken tenders….. To be continued…..

  13. Thanks for reading! We really didn't notice too many changes, apart from the loss of Calico Jack's!
  14. All done at Snorkel Park Beach, Patti is making her way over to the Frog & Onion. Here she passes the National Museum of Bermuda. Our plan is to check this out tomorrow….. Patti has made it to the Frog & Onion….. Patti finds me holding down the fort at the bar…… I really liked the Whale of a Wheat beer….. Patti sat down with me to have a drink and to cool off for a while. After about a half an hour, Patti decided that it was time to start her Dockyard picture tour. You know where I stayed. As Patti left the Frog & Onion, she spotted this cat just hanging out. This cat has the life, especially with all those plump chickens running around! To be continued…..
  15. When all was said and done, Patti beat me by shooting a 61 to my 65, and no, I did not let her win! I was hot and thirsty, so I made my way over to the Frog & Onion, while Patti went over to check out Snorkel Park Beach…… This guy in the blue was in charge of the area, and he loved to have his picture taken….. To be continued…..
  16. Here are some more Fun Golf pictures….. Here are some scenic views taken from Fun Golf….. To be continued……
  17. This is a mini golf course like no other that we have played. It’s 18 holes are designed to replicate some of the best golf holes of the United States and the world. Don’t worry though, the sand traps do not have sand in them, and you can putt through them if you have to. Here are some shots as we played Fun Golf….. To be continued…..
  18. Here are some of the happenings at the Dockyard….. We decide that we are going to head over and play Fun Golf. On the way we pass the Cooperage, which we will get back to later….. There are chickens wandering around everywhere….. We pass a kid’s playground and splash pad….. This is the way to Snorkel Beach and Fun Golf….. We have made it to the Caddyshack. We check in and pay the $15 per round. To be continued…..
  19. As soon as the Carnival Legend was tied up it began to rain. We were planning on heading over to Horseshoe Bay today, but with the rain we cancelled those plans. Now here is a tip for you. If you are planning to go to Horseshoe Bay, do not buy the overpriced transfers from Carnival. There are vans that run back and forth from the pier all day that charge $7 per person, each way. It’s raining pretty hard now, so we head up to the Lido for breakfast. Afterwards, we went back to the cabin to hang out for a while. Around 11 am the rain stopped, and the sun even peeked out, so off the ship we went. Here we pose by the King’s Wharf sign….. Here’s the Carnival Legend docked at the King’s Wharf….. The Norwegian Getaway is docked at the Heritage Wharf….. We check out the Floating Fun Park…… There’s a small bar in there, but I’ll pass. I miss Calico Jack’s!!! Patti and I pose in the Moongate….. To be continued…..
  20. Looking over at the Floating Fun Park……. Here are some more Dockyard views….. One of Bermuda’s ferries is pulling into the Dockyard….. These guys are going to get us tied up….. To be continued…..
  21. The Carnival Legend is pulling into the King’s Wharf….. The crew is keeping an eye out from the bridge….. These guys are waiting to help with the lines….. Captain Mark spins the Legend around so that we dock on the port side. This gives us a perfect view of the Dockyard from our balcony…… To be continued…..
  22. Day # 4 - 8/31/22 - Bermuda day # 1. We were up at 7 am as we were sailing into Bermuda. It is cloudy and 80 degrees, though it appears that the sun is trying to peek out. The weather is not favorable for our two days here in Bermuda, with a 60% chance of rain both days. Here are today’s “Fun Times”….. We are sailing into Bermuda. That’s the Norwegian Getaway sailing in behind us….. Here are a couple views of the North Shore as we sail into Bermuda….. The sun is trying to peek through….. To be continued…..
