The Carnival Legend is pulling into the King’s Wharf….. The crew is keeping an eye out from the bridge….. These guys are waiting to help with the lines….. Captain Mark spins the Legend around so that we dock on the port side. This gives us a perfect view of the Dockyard from our balcony…… To be continued…..

Day # 4 - 8/31/22 - Bermuda day # 1. We were up at 7 am as we were sailing into Bermuda. It is cloudy and 80 degrees, though it appears that the sun is trying to peek out. The weather is not favorable for our two days here in Bermuda, with a 60% chance of rain both days. Here are today’s “Fun Times”….. We are sailing into Bermuda. That’s the Norwegian Getaway sailing in behind us….. Here are a couple views of the North Shore as we sail into Bermuda….. The sun is trying to peek through….. To be continued…..

Hey Karry! Did you know that the Somerset Patriots are the Yankees Double AA team? The Patriots just swept the Portland Sea Dogs in the semi-finals. Portland is Boston's Double AA team. How ironic! The finals begin tomorrow against the Erie Seawolves, which is Detroit's Double AA team. Our first home game is Tuesday. Have a fantastic cruise! I know that you'll be sailing alone, though you really won't be sailing alone. Jim will be with you the whole time!

Hey gang! The Somerset Patriots are in the playoffs so I may not post anything for a few days. I'll be back for sure on Saturday. Stay thirsty my friends!

Well, it was crappy when we got up, and then it got like the pictures showed for about twenty minutes, and then it got crappy again.

At 7 pm we made our way to Billie’s Piano Bar for this week’s Diamond Gathering. I believe there were about 50 diamonds aboard for this sailing….. There were plenty of snacks and drinks….. Guest Services Manager Vania, Hotel Director Paul, and Cruise Director Gabe, made the rounds and visited all the tables. Here is a blurry shot of Patti and Gabe….. Here is the free picture that they took of us….. The party lasted about an hour. Afterwards, Patti and I went up to Lido for a bite. I decided to try the Seafood Corner. I had the buffalo shrimp, which aren’t like the buffalo shrimp you and I are used too, but they were pretty good….. I also had the lobster roll. I prefer my lobster roll to be just butter, which was not an option, but it was okay, though a bit skimpy….. Patti chose to have mozzarella sticks and fried rice that she grabbed from the buffet line….. Tonight’s Playlist Production Show was “The Brits”. The Electric Violins are playing in the Red Frog Pub, Variety Music with Katherine & Marcus at the Lobby Bar, and Acoustic Jams with Darren Scott at the Alchemy Bar. Jim is still holding court at the Piano Bar. In the Comedy Club, Randy Kagan has the early “PG” show, and Kier has the late “R”show. After walking around the ship we head back to the cabin for the night. Here is tonight’s towel animal….. Coming up next: We arrive in beautiful Bermuda!

After breakfast, Patti was going to the Early Card Sales for this afternoon’s Win a Cruise Bingo, browse the shops, and then relax. I went over to the Red Frog Rum bar to hang out with Argee for a few drinks. Feeling lazy, I went back to the cabin to relax and work on pictures. Patti soon joined me there. At 1:30 we made our way to the Follies Theater to watch Celebrity Heads hosted by CJ. The theater was split into two teams, with one person from each team up on stage. CJ held up a card with a celebrities name on it, and the audience gave their team member on stage hints to help them guess the celebrity. It got pretty wild. This was the first time Patti and I had seen this….. After this it was time for Win a Cruise Bingo……. Here are the prices for the various bingo packages…… We came within a number a couple of times, but no luck….. Afterwards, Patti was feeling hungry so she went up to the Deli for a turkey wrap. Here is the Deli menu….. I went to the casino to play blackjack for a couple of hours, breaking even for the session. I made my way to the Alchemy Bar, where I said hello to Omer, and he made me a couple of Pain Reliefs. Then I made my way back to the cabin, where we hung out until it was time for the Diamond Event. Day # 3 – 8/30/22 - Sea Day # 2. We were up at 6 am to a crappy looking day. The skies are pretty cloudy, and there are a few sprinkles of rain. We did manage to get a few sunrise pictures before the skies really clouded up. Here is the view from our balcony looking forward and aft….. Today’s sunrise….. Here are today’s “Fun Times”….. Today’s segment is going to be pretty short as it seems that the camera was put away for most of the day, probably resting up for tomorrow’s arrival in Bermuda! Around 9:30 we made our way up to the Lido for breakfast. Patti got herself an omelet….. I went to the Blue Iguana Cantina and got myself a breakfast burrito….. To be continued…..

I remember when 3 shrimp WAS half!

Small world. We walked by your cabin a gazillion times. Kris was excellent for us. We had no problem with Gabe, probably because we had quite a bit of interaction with him. Yes, he was very rough around the edges, and he has a lot to learn, but you have to start somewhere. We hope he pans out. Haven't seen them yet. I'll have to give them a try. The Apple Pie sounds Fireball friendly!

At 10 pm I decide to head over to the comedy club for the 10:30 show. The Punchliner Comedy Club is in the Firebird Lounge on Deck 1, all the way forward. There are three comedians on this cruise, Randy Kagan, Matt Sadler, and the comedian I’m watching tonight, Kier. I suggest getting here a half hour before showtime if you want to get a decent seat. I sat at the bar in back, and had a great sightline to the stage…… This is the Comedy Host Kate…… Kier on stage….. He was pretty good. I would give him a 7.5 out of 10. Afterwards, it was back to the cabin for the night. Here is tonight’s towel animal and our invites to the Diamond Event tomorrow……. Coming up next: Another relaxing sea day!

Patti starts with the spaghetti carbonara as an appetizer, and a Caesar salad….. I start with the pork tarts and a shrimp cocktail. Look at the portion size on both of mine. Not complaining, just pointing it out….. We both had the lobster for our mains…… For dessert Patti had the Crème Brulee, and I had the coffee cream cake….. The food tonight was just fine, but the service was really slow. We didn’t leave the dining room until 8:30. Tonight, the Playlist Production show was “Motor City”, and Jim was holding court over at the Piano Bar. We decided to watch a set of the Electric Violins with In Trio at the Lobby Bar….. Afterwards, Patti went back to the cabin to read, while I went to the Casino Bar to have a couple with Angela. Here she is…… She took a picture of me….. To be continued……

Patti heads off to claim her $25 cash from the casino, and then check put the shops. She gets these pictures of the Senior Staff aboard the Carnival Legend….. Keeping the ATM full….. I have a couple more drinks with Ramil at the Lobby Bar, and then head over to the casino to play blackjack for a couple of hours. This time I won a little bit, so I’m back up to even. I went over to the casino bar to say hello to Angela, and we got to talk for a little bit. By now it was after 1 pm, so I went back to the cabin to find Patti. We went up to the Lido for lunch. I love Chopsticks, so I got my lunch from there, while Patti made herself a salad. Afterwards, we went back to the cabin to relax on our balcony, and nap until it was time for dinner. Tonight, is Cruise Elegant Night so we decide to go to Truffle’s Restaurant for lobster dinner. We checked in on the Hub App at 6:10, and again it said a less than 10 minute wait. 50 minutes later, we were seated by the window at table # 304….. Here are tonight’s menus….. Looking outside we can see it is raining….. To be continued……

Afterwards, we decided to head over to the Lobby Bar for a drink. Patti got a few pictures of Bonsai Sushi on the way. We will be eating there later in the cruise….. I recognize the bartender at the Lobby Bar from our cruise on the Panorama. He was working at the Tides Bar there. His name is Ramil….. Ramil tells me that there are a couple other bartenders from our Panorama cruise working here on the Legend. Omer, who worked at Pig & Anchor on the Panorama, is working at the Alchemy Bar. Angela, who we knew well because she worked the Havana Bar on the Panorama, is working at the Casino Bar. We can’t wait to say hello to them. These are the beers on tap at the Lobby Bar. I’m not a fan of the Birthday Beer….. Patti has her usual Mocha Chocolate Getaway….. I’m going with an Angry Orchard with a shot of Fireball….. Here are the Lobby Bar menus….. To be continued…..

Day # 2 – 8/29/22 - Sea Day # 1. We were up at 6:30 am to a beautiful day and sunrise….. These are the views forward and aft, as the Carnival Legend heads towards Bermuda….. The seas are very calm….. Here are today’s “Fun Times”…… We really don’t have any set plans for today, except to relax. That’s the best thing about doing back to back cruises. You don’t feel like you have to be doing something every minute of the day. Around 8:30 we decide to go to the Sea Day Brunch. We check in on the app, and it’s less than a 10 minute wait. It didn’t even take that long, and soon we were seated at table # 146….. The first order of business was to get our free brunch drinks….. Patti had a tomato and cheddar omelet with fries and turkey bacon….. I had the 12 hour French toast with sausage and hash browns…. To be continued…..
