  1. Is your plan to cancel and rebook to get the lower price? Hmmm. Taking a chance if so. What if the cabin you want (maybe the one you cancel isn't available)? Might be better to try to get your TA to ask for the price reduction or some OBC...if you can get them to go to bat for you.
  2. We were recently on the Discovery (4/24-4/29) and had Club Class. Only a 5 day and did specialty dining for 2 of the days, so ate in the MDR 3 times. I thought Club Class included an extra dish each night (pasta, dessert) that's not on the regular menu. No such animal was offered to us. Asked our waiter about it and got a shrug. Have they stopped doing this? Was it just Discovery? Was it just our specific sailing?
  3. Radically changed the Platinum/Elite benefits. If you are in that category, be aware. No more free internet - 50% of cost No more loyalty OBC for Elites I'm sure I've left off a couple.
  4. If the option isn't in your Personalizer, you'll have to contact the TA.
  5. Whatever you do...don't give out any info. I definitely sounds like a scam.
  6. Some may, many likely do not. In our suite cabin on Discovery, two of the cabinets (one in the bedroom, one in the main room) had bottom shelves that were approx. 6" tall. Very poor design. What can you store there? How can you see what's there? When I checked for missing items while packing, I looked at those shelves (almost on hands & knees), found a sugar dispenser (fish bowl type) and a shoe bag & shoe brush. Who knows how long they'd been there? At least, it couldn't have been years.🙃
  7. My one experience with the app onboard the ship...both of our photos/names showed up when attempting an order. You pick the one you want.
  8. Our 2nd cruise, we booked a guarantee mini. The price was right. There available minis all over the ship. Watched minis slowly being book w/fingers crossed that they'd run out and we'd get upgraded to a suite. Didn't happen. We were assigned the most aft mini on the Golden (Dolphin deck). Enormous balcony with a HC bathroom. Those cabins were designed for HC, but there was something wrong w/the design and they aren't listed as HC. Loved that cabin.
  9. Take some "No Salt" or "Mrs. Dash" with you for your next cruise. Adds a little flavor.
  10. Just got off the Discovery. We were in a suite. No card in our cabin. Stopped by CG and they told us, "just show up when your ready". Decided to also try Sabatini's a couple of days later. Stopped on the way out of the suite bkfst to make a res and they stressed "this won't be your free one" and also told us to just show up. We made a res anyway.
  11. Checked the menu. Lots there that looked like something we'd eat...turned out we were wrong.
  12. We couldn't get the app OR the TV to work. Ended up doing it the "old fashioned" way.
  13. That was kind. All he did was make the bed, change the towels and close the curtains at night. He didn't clean anything. I noticed odds & ends that would disappear if vacuumed or wiped and they were there for days at a time (on a short 5 day cruise).
  14. Except when they're not. We booked a cruise to specifically use as much of our FCCs as possible since time is running out. We still owed $800+. Thought nothing of it. A couple of weeks later booked another cruise. No FCCs applied. Maybe a month later, booked another cruise...$1657 FCCs were applied. Didn't even know we had any left. I hadn't checked, just a$$-u-med that Princess kept track. Who knew??
  15. DH actually left his keys on the bed after one of our cruises. Luckily, we realized immediately (altho' not before we'd walked out of the last door. They won't let you go back, once you pass that door. They called the ship, the ship contacted the steward and the keys were sent out to us. WHEW!! On our recent cruise, I looked at ALL the drawers/shelved (and it was a lot, we were in a suite). In the bottom shelf (very shallow and totally useless for storage), I found a sugar dispenser (the handy dandy worthless balls o' glass) and a shoe bag, shoe brush and cleaning sponge. Those last items are (I think) part of the suite amenities. Our worthless steward did not offer many of the amenities that are supposed to be included...I had to ask for them.
  16. Actually, you're mileage will definitely vary. Everyone has their own likes and dislikes, preference, etc. We'd never tried Sabatini's and decided now was the time. The appetizer consisted of 2 triangles of bread (I read a review that more than one was a "belly buster" and understand why...they were the best part of the meal. The bread came w/a dipping sauce and IIRC some type of pancetta (?). Antipasti - saw several very favorable reviews on CC, so ordered that. Terrible. One bite of the cheese was more than enough. The tomatoes that the cheese sat on were OK, so I ate them. DH took one bite of his and stopped. Soup/Salad - skipped this item. Didn't see anything that was worth the calories. Pasta - DH got the spaghetti. He said the spaghetti on the kid's menu is better. I got the Porcini Mushroom Risotto - I love mushroom and I like risotto...this did not impress. It was blah. I ate less than 1/2 of it. Second Piatti - DH skipped this altogether, he didn't see anything that he wanted to try. I got the Sole Picatta. It was OK. Again, not any better than I've had in the MDR. Dessert - We ordered one sampler to share. DH took one look and didn't even bother. I tasted each one and that was enough for me. We didn't complain for some reason (I'm a great complainer 😁...when it's warranted). We just left. Apparently, the staff figured out that we weren't exactly overwhelmed. The charge never showed up on our folio while we were onboard and when we got our final folio & billing on credit card, we weren't charged. Don't forget!! I said at the outset...Your Mileage May Vary and almost certainly will.
  17. Tried lemon cookies on our recent cruise. They were good and as I remembered from before the pause.
  18. You'll have 25 days. I wouldn't even bother. Just make your res onboard. Bonus: if you have OBC, you won't have to use your credit card to pay.
  19. They told me to write EXPEDITE on the ticket...didn't do much.
