They were good on my cruise in March too, but the change seems to have apparently happened since then.

I'm pretty certain it's fleet wide and John Heald has already said it should be temporary. I don't know about the burgers, but I have seen that the fries are different which is sad. The fries were half the reason I went.

The only 2 ports where it doesn't start on day 1 are Texas and New York.

If it lets you choose your own, then you can pick whichever you like (from the options) and obstructed views will say they are. If it's a deal where Carnival picks, then I guess it is possible, but obstructed view balconies usually just mean you can't look straight down because life boats or something are below you. You can still see out with no issues.

If you have tweens and teens (over 12) who are in Circle C or Club O2 they only can sign themselves out. In fact, there really isn't even a sign-in/out process for those clubs. They just come and go as they please. But yes, I felt safe with reasonable precautions. He had to keep regular contact with us on the app, check in with us at certain times, and of course had ground rules like no going in someone else's cabin or letting anyone in ours or using pools, hot tubs, etc without us.

Pretty much your only true low carb alcoholic drink options are going to be using diet soda mixers. Either by bringing your own (in cans) and purchasing shots or by ordering with diet Pepsi products.

I'm cruising to Alaska on the Spirit in July. The deal was advertised as $35 per person for an interior but I upgraded to a balcony for around $135 per person (same price as an ocean view) with $200 on board credit. All in with taxes, fees, and gratuities it was around $775 for 2 people. My husband had a deal for $25 per person and free drinks in the casino earlier this year, but this Alaska promo is the best one I've personally gotten. My husband's was a casino offer of course, but mine was not. I don't gamble.

I'm sailing on the Spirit in July and it works for mine.

Since we are only in Victoria from 8pm to midnight, I decided to book this tour as an easy, inexpensive thing to do for an hour that evening. I also just love this kind of thing anyway. It says you meet at 812 Wharf St for the tour. How far and easy will this be to get to from the cruise dock? I am not familiar with Victoria at all and I've seen some videos that show a shuttle service that takes you into town from the ship. Is that correct? I'm hoping I can easily walk to this spot either from the port or from where the shuttle drops you off. Thanks!

Honestly I'd price out 2 rooms. Rooms on the Mardi Gras are smaller than most other ships. It'd probably be fine some if those 5 were kids, but 5 adults will be tight. What you'll find is that you are paying per person regardless of how many rooms you have. The difference is that you aren't getting that "discounted" rate for as many people after the first 2 in a room.

Has anyone does this excursion offered through Carnival? There is only one review, but it's good. The excursion says a meal is included, but the description doesn't say anything about what kind of meal. I'm probably going to book this, but I'm curious if there really is a meal and what it may be. If there isn't one, that's not a deal breaker because we'll be back on board by 1pm anyway.

I have gotten a lot of mixed information on this, so I am looking for recent personal experiences. I have booked a closed loop Alaskan cruise in July that begins and ends in Seattle. We have one stop in Victoria which is our only non-American port. Are passports needed to enter Victoria from the ship? (Note that I am asking if they are required, not if they are recommended and that I am also referring to entering Canada from the ship and not from a train excursion in another port.) I am sailing Carnival if that makes a difference. I know some cruise lines may have different rules. I've been told by some people that they needed passports for Victoria and others have said they did not and I've also read excursion reviews that mention going through customs entering Victoria (but this review was from 9 years ago). I am open to getting passports so that's not really an issue, but I am not 100% sure we'd have time to get them and I want to set my mind at ease in case we cannot. Worst case scenario, I am okay staying on the ship since the port time is only 4 hours anyway, but I like to at least see a port when I am there.
