#2...on the Seaside.....design

I have been to several gatherings, Black card, cruisecritic, etc.

The captain always talks about the great design. He does stress the fact that there is a lot of out door area.

He does not speak much about the inside.

I cannot say a lot of good things about it. Very confusing. Here are a few examples. Remember I am on deck 16 in the Yacht club.

Tried to get to the buffet on 16.....you have to go down to 15, over ,then back up to 16.

Trying to get off the ship at Ocho Rios port. Went over to the elevator and asked a worker what deck to get off the ship. He said 5. He then added that although these elevators go to 5 ,they will not take you to the right place.

You have to find another bank of elevators from a different part of the ship.

Today, trying to get off the ship for Grand Cayman. Went over to the yacht club desk and asked what deck to get off. He replied deck 6 but to wait and a butler would escort us off. The butler took a group of us to the elevator. The elevator said it was to full and would not go anywhere. One couple and the butler got off. We proceeded to deck 6. After waiting there for awhile, I wandered off a bit. I ran into a group of people and asked them if they knew where to get off. They said they had been wandering around themselves trying to figure that out. I went back to the elevator and the butler finally arrived. He escorted us quite away across deck 6 and then down stairs to deck 4 to get off the ship.

They never have any signs pointing to where the gangplank is.

When we got back, I was exhausted. Boarded the ship and got into the elevator. Of course it was a long ride to 16 because the elevator was full and everyone was stopping at different floors.

Finally got to deck 16.....staggered out of the elevator.....

****.....there was the buffet. I knew I had to go down a floor and walk to a different bank of elevators.

Shippy ... As you say there are issues where it seems that the designer has never set foot on a cruise ship with regards to traffic flow, we were in an Aft suite and rarely had your issues apart from going to Butchers Cut and Tepanyaki.

To get to the Top 19 sundeck we went up to 16 above our suite walked across the deck and then up 2 flights of stairs outside.

We did not have any issues getting off the ship at our port stops.
