Adjoining cabins on Celebrity Solstice

Is anyone familiar with adjoining cabins on Solstice? I am looking to book 9278 . In some reviews there is mention of doors between the cabins inside the room , while someone else mentioned the connection is outside in the hall . I am also interested if there is any obstruction on this cabin as it looks like a great location on the hump.

As I understand it the connecting doors are outside in a vestibule type of set up.

On Solstice class ships, all adjoining rooms have an exterior door which can be closed to the hallway. Then, the cabin doors are left open (can not be closed) to make them adjoining. Doors are not inside the cabin, as they are on Millennium class ships or hotel rooms.

That is not true for the Reflection. The connecting doors on the Reflection are inside the cabins.

I wonder why they made that change on this ship?

I appreciate the doors actually connecting inside the room- we'll sail on Reflection next year with our two small children in a connecting CC- I want to have a door that opens into their room so I can keep an eye on them and also get the feeling of a "bigger room" not just be able to walk through the hall into their room. Glad they made the change.

I did not see what cat cabin your in, but any 2 veranda cabins can have the balcony partion opened and become adjoining that way. Don't know if that would help you out.
