New promotion!?!

Anyone wondering if Carnival will advertise a new promotion in the morning, or after 12. I hope so! I'm looking forward to seeing one. I know this month is Military appreciation, but wonder if their will be another.

I noticed yesterday that when I checked my VIFP Club offers on Carnival's website that a new casino offer was available. That offer shows that it must be booked by August 21st for a sailing through April 30, 2014. Other offers showing there which are not new are the Friends and Family Event and Past Guest offers. I haven't seen anyone post anything about an impending sale. I usually log in to the VIFP Club offers on the website to watch for new offers. You might try that, especially if you are a casino customer.

I'm hoping there will be a 4th of July sale or another Fall and Winter sale...

Know there is a sale coming because the price of my cruise went up$60. Of course it could not go down.

I signed up for the last MasterCard promotion ($50 OBC) but I do not see OBC anywhere in my booking.

I'm not sure how it works, this is the first time we signed up for MC promotion. Did you get a proof - e-mail, something-that the OBC were applied to your account?

We received $50 OBC on each of our 2013 cruises due to a previous MC promo that someone was very kind to post on CC.

Know there is a sale coming because the price of my cruise went up$60. Of course it could not go down.

And they took the fall/winter sale prices off the booking engine and our price is back up to when we originally booked ($110 more!)

on the last promotion for bookings (12/1/12-3/15/13) I submitted and did receive a confirmation that it was received for review at that time. I printed it out and kept it with my paperwork. The MASTERCARD $50 did not show up eventually, but not until about the week prior to sailing. From what I am aware this may have been the last Mastercard promo? This is one promo I do not think gets applied until right before your cruise as each week passes.

I've realized that on the CARNIVAL site I usually only see maybe the last OBC for some reason.... not the total? Or at least it never seems to add up for what I think it is until I board the ship and I am checking in at the port. I usually have my PVP email me what he sees which always reflects the TOTAL and I print it out.

The Guest services on the ship once told me....

Always print out confirmations and/or any acknowledgements that your request was at least received and bring them with you to the port to speed things up. If for some reason you do not have the proper OBC at the port DISPUTE IT THERE so they can submit the inquiry to the main office or whomever via LAND connections. Sometimes the AT-SEA communications when passengers dispute OBC takes longer to correct if it gets corrected at all.

If you go into Manage My Cruise & click on cruise docs, all of your OBC should show up there.

I was thinking there would be a 4th of July sale in the next couple of days.....but with oil prices rising probably not. We shall see!

I submitted a request by the cutoff date lsted for my DEC cruise and updated mine with platinum and it seemed to go through. fingers crossed!! :D

Thanks for posting this. The terms and conditions say it is good for applicable sailings listed in the mailed offer. Did you get something in the mail or an e-mail invitation for this that listed only certain cruises as eligible? I hope my cruise is one of the applicable sailings.

BTW, I love Myrtle/North Myrtle. We used to get there a couple of times a year but have been cruising too much to get there lately. We just bought at 34-foot travel trailer, so we are thinking of bringing it down in the fall.

Are you referring CCL's Mastercard or an actual Mastercard Promotion? Last year, we got $50.00 OBC just by setting up our onboard account using a Mastercard (any mastercard). I am curious if they are running that promotion again and if anyone has the link :) Thanks a bunch!

Go to the website and fill out the form. you have until 7/19 to do so.

Do you have to be a gold member to get the $50 credit deal?

That MC link looks like it is only if you pay for your cruise with a MC not just your onboard S&S.

I went through DiscoverCard.com to link to a certain TA of their choosing to use to book my cruise. By booking through them and paying with my Discover Card I will be getting 5% cash back which in my case is more than $50. I think they have this offer all the time.
