CocoCay Update ... new cabanas, floating bars OH MY

Just returned from a week-end cruise on the Majesty and CocoCay is getting some updates

There is something coming soon ;) no indication as to what, just a big fenced off area

I did sneak a peak (picture) from the gap in the fence :D :D

So where is that fenced off area? Is it like off to the right somewhere when you get off the tender? That always seems to be the only "undeveloped" area.

Wow! Looks really neat. Haven't been there since 2009. I think I need to find a cruise to go back there!

How deep was the water by the floating/swim up bar? That looks pretty cool!

It looks like the cove after the first main cove. I hear they are putting over water cabanas?! Makes me a little sad because we spent our day in that little cove in June.

All new stuff is Tropical Storm proof "right" Some of it might make good flotsam to to fish under in the gulf stream.

I will have to admit it will be a great improvement.

Was in Coco Cay this weekend on Empress. The Floating Bar was a nice surprise.

We were in Coco Cay last week and missed the floating bar. I wish they had announced this or had a sign.

We sat right beside the fenced off area. It is on the right on the Blackbeard's beach area. There is a big group of palm trees right there.

Well, I know where DH and I will be on Halloween!!!!!:cool: We'll be taking an early morning ride on some Wave Runners and then off to the new floating bar to enjoy our drink packages!!:p Perfect!!;)

I would be interested in knowing how deep it is too.

Floating bar? Count me in. I may need to book a Cococay trip soon! Looks great. My favorite stops are the private islands.

When we were there the tide was out ... here is a pic showing the bar from the shore.

When we went out to the bar, the water at the step was a little above my waist. When we got off the bar, I stepped off the ladder and the water went just below my shoulders ...

We love the walk to the other side, have to work off those Coco Locos :eek:
