Rare MicCanberra Posted January 23, 2018 #26 Share Posted January 23, 2018 This may be a 2009 thread but I wish I could buy more of this stock at 2009 prices. Thank you Carnival for this great benefit and for a well run company. I agree.
Rare Hlitner Posted January 23, 2018 #27 Share Posted January 23, 2018 With dividend reinvestment and stock price appreciation my investment in CCL stock in 2013 has just about doubled in value. So the $100-400 in onboard credit we get annually is just a nice added benefit. Not just CCL. Consider that RCL stock went from about $6 in 2009 to $128 today! We bought that stock back in 1995 for about $11 a share. Now, 23 years later it is worth $128. A good investment,,,,,but no longer worth much when it comes to OBCs. Hank I considered buying it (was around $50) but due to the OBC being not combinable, we decided not to.
Bdgr/Pckr/bckr Posted February 2, 2018 #29 Share Posted February 2, 2018 If you own 200 CCL shares do you qualify for double OBC's? Also, if you book a cruise that is also available in segments, do you get a stockholder benefit for each segment? Can't find much information on the Princess website so would appreciate more info from those who regularly use their stockholder benefits. Thanks. Cruz-OR Posted February 2, 2018 #31 Share Posted February 2, 2018 No double OBC for 200 shares. For a cruise that you can book in segments, you only get OBC for each segment when you book each segment separately. Regarding the segments, if you book each segment separately with its own booking/reservation number then you can claim the credit for each segment. But in many cases this does not save you money as there are often better deals on the cruise price if you book as a single cruise. A good cruise/travel agent will do the math (or you can do it yourself). Hank
Underwatr Posted February 2, 2018 #33 Share Posted February 2, 2018 Anticipating the next question, if both passengers sharing a stateroom are CCL shareholders, only one can claim the benefit.
Cruz-OR Posted February 3, 2018 #34 Share Posted February 3, 2018 One CCL shareholder benefit per stateroom. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
