What Lines are the TRUE all inclusive

I am confused.

A lot of the threads talk about all inclusive, meaning gratuities/ soft drink /

water and alcohol / coffee etc.

A lot of ships say they are all inclusive, but when you get down to the nitty, gritty and see some of the threads where your cabin fridge is not inclusive (but will be soon) it doesn't make sense

Could someone in the know, please inform me of the luxury lines that are truly 100% all inclusive ( I am not referring to excursions)

But if there is a luxury line that includes this pray tell!

I have been on Regent Seven Seas and they were truly all inclusive

and it was FAB.

What other lines meet this standard, preferably NON SMOKING

As you noted, you have to move up..well up (in cost)..to the luxury lines, to get to near -all-inclusive cruising, although I think Disney might come close.

Once you get to the all-inclusive lines, you're also talking about smaller ships. Have you checked into Azamara, for example? I bypassed them when I saw how expensive it was, but you might want to investigate it.

By the way, most of us who actually have cruised on mass-market lines -- HAL, Princess, Carnival, etc., would never mislead anyone into thinking that a cruise on one of them is "all inclusive". They're not, and really haven't been for years. I first cruised on Princess over 12 years ago, now, and even then paid for alcohol and soft drinks. (I don't remember if there were specialty coffees...) So I don't know where you might have been reading that you found conversation about mass-market lines and "all inclusive"?

Thank you uppitycats

Azamara are not 100% inclusive, I just checked. But to go through all of the different cruise lines would take until 2011 to find out what they offer!

On Azamara apparently you have to pay for alcohol and gratuities and also other bar tips with your drinks, selected wine your might have bought ashore etc, etc, etc.

What I would like to know, is there other ships out there like Regent?

Where once you board there are NO charges

I would definitely sail with Regent again I just want to know what to compare it to, and it has to be absolutely ALL INCLUSIVE no ifs or buts

Thank you very much for replying

Silver Sea, Seabourn, Seadream for sure.

All are very high end, quality products.

You get what you pay for.

Despite kidding ourselves, nothing is 'free'.

With top-notch cruise lines like those mentioned above

you pay the price for everything.

Prices for the truly AI lines are out of site. Can be several thousand dollors a day. I think that I will just stay with the mass market ones at $70 per day and pay for what I actually use instead of what I may use.

I agree with you but some folks find it a hardship to sign chits for drinks etc.... ;)

We do not like the mass market lines

we prefer the small ships of Oceania & do like to pay as you go ...

Picking the right agent you can get pre paid gratuities or OBC so makes Oceania a good alternative to the mega ships

I know what you mean. I do enjoy AI land vacations. Put your hand out someone puts a drink in it without having their hand out. And not having to worry about sometimes scarry bar bills. It does make for a stress free vacation.

Sure, if you go on an expedition ship all excursions are usually included. These are normally by zodiac, but some have kayaks. We were on Minerva in Antarctica, and SilverSeas PAII to the Arctic this year. Both included all drinks, gratuities, and all excursions. On both we paid an extra $150.00 for the DVD of our expedition. We also had to pay internet minutes.

In general, most "all inclusive" ships include gratuities and drinks (including alcoholic) in the trip cost. We have done SilverSeas, HAL,, and Celebrity and honestly the big difference for us was the drinks (and my DH doesn't drink alcohol). On all we had amenities including slippers, robes, shampoo and much more. On all we had to pay to use the internet service.

Azamara is not an all inclusive luxury line, at least not right now. we are going on them next year. You pay for your drinks and in most cases gratuities.

Prices were great earlier this year, but no more.

Btw, our 10 night SilverSeas cruise was cheaper than our last two HAL cruises in the Med and our Azamara will definately be more than SilverSeas (Prince Albert II Expedition) when we add in all of our private tours. SilverSeas was a bargain this year!

Not sure if you are interested in a smaller company BUT Thompsons cruises from the UK have one ship that is all inclusive. I did a cruise with them on their old ship Topaz which has now been sold to the Japanese but they have - I am given to understand - a replacement all inclusive ship. Try their web site for info and itineries We only paid for tours - we did the mediteranean and it was one of the best cruises we have taken

Celebrity is not all-inclusive, but they have recently added liquor/wine/beer packages that can be purchased separately from your fare. You could prepay your tips and prepay for an unlimited liquor package then you will have, in essence, created almost an AI cruise :)

Their smoking policy is pretty tight, too. No smoking in cabins, on balconies, in the restaurants or the casino.

Just trying to be creative!

Thomson's only offer free ai. if you book early enough, then it's on a sliding scale, from £69 per week up to £169. As the drinks prices are lower than other lines, the 2nd price isn't always worth it. Sometimes TAs offer it at £40, as seen on TV at present.

All tips are included.- jocap.

The lines that are "all inclusive" which means they include all beverages and tips are Seabourn, Silversea, SeaDream and Regent. Those lines also include at least one free shore excursion.

To those who said these lines are thousands of dollars a day, that's totally wrong. Yes, they are much more than a mass market line, but they are no where near thousands of dollars a day.

For me, all inclusive is not important. I don't see why I should have to subsidise everyone else's drinking when I don't drink much at all. So why should I pay all that extra cash just so everyone else can drink on my dime? I prefer a line like Crystal, who, with their very generous on board credits, really come out to be all inclusive. I just returned from a Crystal cruise, and the on board credit I received paid for my shore excursions, trips to the spa and the small number of drinks I had--plus Crystal has provided soft drinks, bottled water and specialty coffees as free. And, if you find a good travel agent like mine, who pays my gratuities and provides additional on board credit, it's as close to all inclusive as you can get. And, Crystal is voted as the best cruise line in the world by most publications. After having cruised all the luxury lines, Crystal is my favorite, by far.
