Back To Back?

This my be nuts, and we will need to give up vices and lunches until December, but we are thinking about doing the weeks of 12/3 ans 12/10 on the Connie in 2005. They have completely different itineraries for those weeks.

Can anyone share good and bad experiences in going back-to-back on consecutive weeks on the same ship?

Entertainment is the same. Menu, although good is the same. We find 7 days way to short so B2B are great. Really saves on travel poertion of your cruising budget.

We now do B2B but at least 10 days each.. The more you do it the more you want to do.

Enjoy.

and you can have the hot tubs virtually to yourself for a couple of hours

and it is also great to be able to look at the list of entertainment in week one and think I do not need to do all that this week - but do check sometimes entertainers leave so you will want to be sure you can see them week 2

On many ships the pools and all faclities are closed for cleaning and maintenance during turn-around days.

We are also thinking about doing a B2B on the connie next december- the weeks of the 10th and the 17th though. Might be nice since the itineraries are completely different. Just hoping that finals week doesnt fall the week of the 10th...that might be an issue. The prices are low enough for these weeks that the b2b wont be too expensive at all. Maybe ill see you on the 10th :)\

We have done 3 or 4 B2B cruises, makes a lot of sense when travelling from the UK.

Advantages:

Ship to yourself for turnaround day ( all the facilities have always been available for us).

Food: a chance to try those things you maybe couldn't quite manage the first week.

Shows: althought the same each week you don't have to bust a gut to see everything during the first week.

Disadvantages:

Waisteline

Hey Lois:) ,

We won't have a final decision on this one for months:confused: . Spoke with our mutual TA and there is no "deal" by going b2b. So we want to hold our place at the dinner table with you guys for 12/10 until we get a better handle on things. We will assume we are going, unless something comes up that forces us to cancel one or both weeks!

Starting my new job tomorrow:o ... new industry, new people ... should be interesting

Bill
