HollDoll Posted April 20, 2010 #1 Share Posted April 20, 2010 Are there ice buckets in mini-suites? And, if so (or even if not) where can one get ice? Are there machines on each deck, or just what do we do for ice? Thanks much!!

TJM001 Posted April 20, 2010 #3 Share Posted April 20, 2010 There is an ice buckets in the little refrigerator in every stateroom and your room steward will keep it filled.
dpump Posted April 20, 2010 #4 Share Posted April 20, 2010 Your cabin steward will make sure it's always filled. If you need more, just call.
Toto2Kansas Posted April 20, 2010 #5 Share Posted April 20, 2010 We have always found the ice buckets in the mini suites and below quite small (for our needs). But we often call room service (during our room steward's off hours) and they will bring an extra large ice bucket full of ice for you if you need a larger amount. Janet Foster Posted April 20, 2010 #7 Share Posted April 20, 2010 Always helps too if you slip a couple extra bucks and let him/her know that you would like your ice filled and freshened as often as possible... :-)
paul929207 Posted April 20, 2010 #8 Share Posted April 20, 2010 There is also ice at the buffet. Some times it is easier to run up there than wait for room service.
HollDoll Posted April 20, 2010 Author #9 Share Posted April 20, 2010 By "the buffet", do you mean Horizon Court? If not, what are you referring to?
paul929207 Posted April 20, 2010 #10 Share Posted April 20, 2010 HC on most ships, Panorama Buffet on others.

Nope, same size. Just ask your steward for a larger ice bucket. They always bring us a plastic champagne bucket for ice (and keep refilling it twice daily). Never been a problem. Toto2Kansas Posted April 21, 2010 #15 Share Posted April 21, 2010 Our ice buckets in our full suites have always been larger, and completely insulated so they keep the ice frozen longer. Maybe we just looked like HUGE ice users or something, but it has always been larger. ;) The large champagne buckets that room service delivers ice is are good if you plan to entertain, but they aren't insulated and don't have lids, so the ice doesn't stick around long. In 10 cruises, all in suites, our ice buckets have always been the typical hotel sized small insulated canisters. So, just be surprised with what you get and if it isn't large enough just ask your steward for a larger one. Mike:)

There must be something wrong with your vision! All of the ice buckets are the same and they have lids.Been on multiple categorys, multiple ships and multiple cruise lines and they are all the same. The only "large" you will get is a metal champagne bucket or a plastic beer bucket both without a lid! My previous post suggest purchasing a collapsable soft side cooler for $7.99 at Walmart that easily fits in your suitcase. It will hold a 12 Pack or keep a heck of alot of ice FROZEN all day!

Toto2Kansas Posted April 21, 2010 #23 Share Posted April 21, 2010 OK, here ya go. I finally found a picture of the regular ice bucket given to regular staterooms on webshots. A picture is worth 1000 words. And, although I don't normally take pictures of our ice bucket, here is one taken of our wet bar with the larger one. They have now been changed to stainless steal, but they are the same size as this one. The ice bucket is in the front right corner of the picture. Same size as the dinky plastic one in the frig picture? I don't think so.
