There were 2 TV channels that you could see forward and aft.

Here's some better pics of the obstructed view.

We ate on Lido Deck that night....can't remember what but will say that I never had a bad meal ! After losing a little in the casino, decided to call it a night.

Tomorrow was first day at sea.

Up early and went up to Lido deck for breakfast. No bacon police in sight !

Michelle, the naturalist onboard, made an announcement that there was wildlife to be seen....so everybody ran to that side of the ship for our first view. I never saw the whales but got these shots of Pacifc white-sided dolphins....some people thought they were baby orcas and I was so excited when I heard this as I really wanted to see both humpbacks and orcas on this cruise....it wasn't until later when we went to her talk that I found out they were dolphins....Orcas would have to wait.

How was the Hawaii cruise? This is the one I am wanting to do next year.

I loved it. Spend one night in Waikiki before hand. We stayed at the Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach in an Ocean front room. If you have a chance do this it is a great veiwn.

I loved having all the ports first then resting the 5 seadays. Loved Waikiki Beach. Loved Nawiliwili we did the Waimea Canyon & Wailua River Tour it was a great tour and during it the guid pointed out some places where different movies were made. Next time at this port I would do a Movie tour.

In Hilo I wanted to do the Secrets of Puna tour but it was sold out. Heard form someone who did this later and they really enjoyed it and said it was worth the money. I will book this one on line next time. We the Discover Hilo, Waves & Waterfalls. We not worth the money. The Tsunami Museum was great but we did not get enough time there to look around just watch a film and then was rushed out. Not worth the $79 dollars at all.

In Maui the shuttle bus driver for the mall told us about the turtles that hang out just left of the ship. You can walk there seen about 8-12 swimming and there is also a beach a little farther down. The Kmart shuttle even dropped some poeple off there so they could see the turtles. Then all they had to do is walk back to the ship.

We sailed to alaska a few years ago on the princess Dawn and alaska was definetly a once in a lifetime experience!!! We had a balcony and in the mornings I would set the camcorder on to a tripod and let it run. We watched all the video when we got home and the wildlife I captured unknowingly was incredible!!

Anyway I want to cruise on the spirit next year when she is doing the Mexican Riviera and I am loving your pictures!!! We are taking the grown up kids on their first cruise and I am going to use this thread to show them all the beauty of the Spirit they have to look forward to!!

Keep the pictures coming!! And I hope you have some food porn for us also:D

Inside Passage....it was amazing how "narrow" it was.

Plopped down on Lido deck for the Hoola Hoop Contest....this was the only person I saw doing it....and he would have put any "seasoned" hoola-hooper to shame LOL

We just did the Hawaii cruise from Ensenada and it was great. Did Alaska NB cruise on Carnival Spirit last year and it was great. I like that ship!

Too many pictures from both (and much of the food pics you say you missed - lol)

I did Alaska on Royal Caribbean last year. Loved the views... not so much the ship to the point it had an adverse effect on my cruise.

I have sailed on the Spirit before and did think it was a classy ship. :p

Love all the pictures. Thanks for doing this!

Thanks for doing this review with so many great pics. Did you just go to Vancouver for the day??

Also I've been dying to know if the Spirit sails East of Vancouver Island.

Meaning in between Mainland and Island....or does it go out more into Pacific.

Thanks

Keep it coming:D

K

I think this was the 6-day Vancouver to Seattle Alaska cruise. I don't know if the 7-day RT Seattle Alaska cruises will sail on a different route or not. The first 7-day returns on Tuesday so we'll know more then.

Great Pics!!

I love the Spirit and Alaska.

I really like your pics of the Inside Passage. On my cruise to Alaska last year it was raining and overcast the day we cruised the Inside Passage. I didn't get to see much of it and get many pictures. Seeing your pictures, I am so mad I missed it!

We had My Time dining....which I loved....never a line and we were always able to get a window table. We were in the Empire Room Deck 3...not far from our cabin at all. Tonight was Formal Night, so went back to the cabin about 5 to get ready.

When we went to the dining room and I gave my name, the hostess said "Oh, I have something for you". She then handed me a $15 photo coupon compliments of the ocean players club....what another nice surprise ! Again, I'm thinking....that email was sooooo worth it !

No food pics...but we both had the Prime Rib and Lobster (actually 2 lobsters) and it was delicious.

After dinner, went back to cabin to change back into sweatshirt and jeans, and just spent time wandering around the ship....Since I now had a photo coupon, went to check photos that had been taken so far....none I liked....did see a sale on 50 photos for $9.99 and 2 4x6 photo albums for $5.95 which we both decided to get. One photo album had pics just of the Spirit and the other was of Alaska....backup plan #1 in case my pics didn't turn out too well.

Went back uptop to get more pics...
