I didn't get a crystal block after my 20th and my 30th will be on our next cruise......maybe I should ask for two:D Don't know where I would put them anyway.........but it is a nice gesture.

I am laughing about the irony that no one seems to be picking up....am I the only one that sees most these perks aimed at booking in advance when Royal 2 weeks ago just made it against our favor to do so:rolleyes::confused:

When the OBC is being waved in front of you I guess final payment seems far, far away...

I used to give my sister all my Royal gifts and she sold them all on ebay. There's definitely a market. Better than sitting in my closet (and I kept some of the totes, they were good).

We never received a crystal block after cruise credit #20, 30 or 40. Obviously the Loyalty Ambassadors slacking off. I'll usually realize it after I return home and then call Crown & Anchor and they've always mailed them to me.

Never got one for #20 either, but didn´t even know they give them out for 20 cruise credits. I had to ask the LA for the one for #30 but I better had followed your route about having it mailed;). That sucker is damn heavy for packing under baggage restrictions on a plane.

To me booking early is still favourable and I´ll never be able to book late, at least not until maybe I´m retired, but then there´s still the issue of flights.

Great point on flights............the area where we live there just aren't a lot of flights out........we always have to connect. And finding a reasonable cost for airfare is harder these days. When we find one, we normally book air ASAP.

Hi Fran, if you want the one out of my signature just copy and paste into your signature. Make sure when you are done that you click on "Save signature".

Is that all there is to it? Thanks Patti; I was reading the posts so quickly that I wasn't noticing the names/handles. We cruised together on the So. America cruise; you were such a great help then too! Thanks; let you know how it goes

What if your 20th has come & gone with No Crystal block..:(

You bet I'd like to have my 20th...Enchantment of the Seas. And I understand they were giving it out back then, too. I wonder why I never got mine? :(

I think quite a few of us have picked up on it and I for one will not be booking anything on the ship unless it's a must do cruise and cabin. I'm still going to wait for the bargains due to the inability to get price reductions during the penalty period. Of course most price reductions were being done as Tuesday/new booking only specials which was already annoying us.

I think in many cases we'll have more to gain by booking late and getting that $200 lower price than we will with the $25 or $100 OBC (shorter cruises).

Same here. I never knew you were supposed to receive one after 20, despite being on Cruise Critic. I wonder if it was always the case that you got one after twenty or is this is something new.

I think it is something new. It was 30 previously but for some reason Enchantment gave them out to many people for number 20 - although I didn't realize this on my number 20 or I'd have asked for one.

You're welcome. Of course I remember you guys from the SA cruise. Glad I could be of help.

You weren't. It was always a special amenity that was given to D+ Members after reaching 30, 40, 50, etc. cruise credits. It was something to look forward to.

They started handing them out on Enchantment for those with 20 cruise credits and that's when, IMHO, they stopped being special.:(

I would say so.....especially when I am seeing residency discounts and senior discounts on Oasis for this June/July anywhere from $300-900/pp that occurred after final.

Thanks Patti, I have learned something new. We didn't get our first one till we had 30 cruises.

The thing that is still special is the free cruise given on or just after the 100th cruise credit.;)

Is it me or does this really not sound like a big deal with the new combinablity? I wish they had brought back shareholders. I think that I will be very skeptical until someone actually sees the new books and reports back about them.

I guess we wait for the 30 credits, 4 more to go.......... Doesn't quite seem right when we are passed 20 and didn't get one.............

Correcting myself:

Ultimate Value Booklet

Gold

The onboard Ultimate Value Booklet features many offers including spa, casino and shopping, and we've added some new one's like a discount on a beverage, an Internet discount and a photo offer.

Platinum

In addition to offers on spa, casino and shopping, we've added some new one's like a discount on a beverage, an Internet discount and laundry/dry cleaning and photo offers.

Diamond

In addition to offers on spa, casino and shopping, we've added some new one's like 30 minutes of free Internet plus 20% off online packages, savings on laundry/dry cleaning/pressing and a free photo.

Diamond Plus

In addition to offers on spa, casino and shopping, we've added some new one's like 45 minutes of free Internet plus 20% off online packages, a free bag of laundry and a free photo.

Gina, I think your assumption is correct.

No matter how many times I look at the benefits page on the RCCL website it reads SAVINGS on Laundry not Free bag of Laundry.Where is this quote from?

That's it exactly. We've gotten price reductions many times after final payment due to the residency and senior discounts. And they almost always are greater than that OBC for any length of cruise.

Fortunately we live in FL where we can make last minute cruise decisions. Being retired helps.

Go to RCCL Home page and click on the Crown & Anchor Society Tab

Not on topic but I have an IPHONE question.........and you are the expert:) I posted on the IPHONE thread from about 3 weeks ago just over the holiday........but with all the breaking news I'm afraid it is on Page 6 or 7 by now LOL!

That is correct. The "free bag of laundry" is for Diamond+

This matches a benefit already in place on Celebrity.

But on Celebrity, as Diamonds we get the same as Diamond Plus. Weird that we get all the Elite benefits on Celebrity even though this will be our first cruise with them but we get nothing like that on RCCL. So now that raises another question.

Celebrity cruisers become Elite status once they have 10 cruise credits. What happens when they cruise on RCCL?? Are they treated as D or D+??? Just wondering because once your Elite, your always Elite - there's no Elite+.

I'd be pretty made if someone with 10 credits that never cruised RCCL is getting access to the CL and being treated as a D+ when it was taken away from us..........forget about the reserved seating because I think that's a dumb benefit and we wouldn't use it anyway, but I suppose it's important to some people so i guess I shouldn't call it dumb.
