C&A Changes - Positive!

Rita just spoke to Royal Caribbean and was told that even though we will be onboard the Radiance on June 11th, the new Diamond Plus coupon books will not be available until the end of the month and apparently nothing will be done to provide us with the new amenities that are to be included in the new books. Typical of a corporation that couldn't coordinate a two-car funeral. :mad: How difficult would it have been to print the new books in advance of June 1 or failing that, delay the effective date of the new benefits until the books were available to distribute the new books fleetwide?:rolleyes: I think I know why Adam hasn't called me :D -(I know that the call is automated so they wouldn't have to listen to my reaction, but it does seem typical).

That is correct. The "free bag of laundry" is for Diamond+

 

This matches a benefit already in place on Celebrity.

 

 

Sounds like another proof reading error then...cause when I go to the website...log in to see my D+ "enhancements" it doesn't say Free...it say's savings...oh well.. guess I will find out on my next cruise..would be nice to go home with a suitcase full of clean clothes instead of dirty for a change..;)

To change the subject for a moment.....can anyone tell me how to insert the "revolving diamond" by my signature. I know a saw it somewhere put I cannot find it. Thanks for your help

Hi Fran, if you want the one out of my signature just copy and paste into your signature. Make sure when you are done that you click on "Save signature".

Why am I not surprised:rolleyes:.

 

I will anyway bring a print out of their website with all the benefits mentioned onboard to see where it gets me. Definitely worth a try.

They have been working on this for 5 years and couldn't have the coupons ready for the role out date?:rolleyes:

None of these new perks make up for loss of price drop protection after final payment due to the new changes in Royal's Price Protection Policy:mad: Maybe they could add that back in for past pax as a new C&A perk;) If Royal is trying to keep past guests booking in advance they better figure that one out.....because a large part of these changes are to try to get C&A members to book in advance when they just cut our legs off last month by cutting out price protection after final:rolleyes:

My point exactly, although I think that these recent improvements were only months in the planning and not the "5 year" project which apparently refers to the reported total revamping of the Crown and Anchor system for attaining higher levels in the loyalty program.

Someone recently posted that an RCI executive was scheduled to board Radiance a few weeks ago to explain the changes to the program. He(or she) couldn't have brought the coupon books along? Good advance planning is definitely not one of their strong suits.

Where do you access the coupon book from?

 

The coupon books are placed in your cabin at the start of your cruise. We have been told that the new books with the improved benefits will not be available on Radiance of the Seas until the end of June. We sail on June 11th and apparently they will do nothing to see that we receive the new benefits that supposedly took effect, fleetwide, on June 1st.:mad:

I'm bringing all my dirty socks!

 

 

Now that you mention it, this WAS my issue on Celebrity. Do I count our socks as 1 item per pair. Or is a pair two items? :confused: I counted a pair as 1 item and hoped they didn't charge me. :o

Just used the bag of laundry last cruise. Fit approx. 12 pairs of socks (peds type) 12 boxers and about 3-4 tshirts. Probably could have jammed in a bit more.

We're pleased with the new benefits.....especially more internet minutes and a "free" bag of laundry.

 

Noticed the following for both D and D+

 

Milestone Benefit6

 

6A commemorative gift will be delivered to you during the sailing on which you attain your 20th, 30th, 40th and 50th cruise credits and on every 10th cruise credit thereafter.

 

Is this still the crystal block? Previously some have said they rec'd one for 20 cruise credits. Now it looks like now everyone will. Hopefully the LA's onboard the ships are aware of this. ;)

We never received a crystal block after cruise credit #20, 30 or 40. Obviously the Loyalty Ambassadors slacking off. I'll usually realize it after I return home and then call Crown & Anchor and they've always mailed them to me.

Why have printed coupon books? Can't the benefits be tied to the seapass cards? A computer system should be able to track usage of virtual coupons. Then we would not have to wait for the delivery of the new books.
