momzcruzing Posted June 17, 2010 #15 Share Posted June 17, 2010 I LOVED "Pillars of the Earth". It was one of those books I hated to see end. My Kindle has been on 6 cruises and is loaded up and ready for the next. If you are a dog person, "The Art of Racing in the Rain" is great. The dog tells the entire story. Very sad in the middle, but keep reading, you'll be glad you did. :)

Currently reading The Fiery Cross, book 5 in the Outlander Series and then will probably read The Help.

I like his books, very easy read. I have started The Girl With The Dragon Tatoo on my brothers recommendation..I am having a little trouble getting through it. I think some parts are very dry but the characters are so interesting. I will keep going just to see what happens. I just got an i-pad and have so far only loaded Heat Wave by "Richard Castle". I like very light reading when I am travelling. I will be looking for something by Carl Hassain (sp). I could never concentrate on a Steig Larsson novel...I get way too distracted. PatC Posted June 17, 2010 #21 Share Posted June 17, 2010 Garry - have you read the rest of Steve Berry's series? John & I have read them all and I'm currently reading The Paris Vendetta. Love his books! Also, have you tried reading the Clive Cussler series? He has a lot of books along the same line as Berry. Love our Kindles. We just got them and can't wait to download some of the classics to re-read. Best to Bob. We've booked Century to Hawaii in 2012. Not sure if we'll definitely do it but the cabins were available we wanted. Looking at a river cruise also. Pat
