Most addictive cruise food

Recommended Posts

What was the one food item you became absolutely addicted to on a cruise and have searched near and far at home to get or buy as often as possible.

Mine was Grana Padano cheese wrapped in Prosciutto. Luckily it is readily available at most grocery stores although finding "good" Prosciutto took a little bit of time. I have bought this snack almost every week since my March cruise on Costa Atlantica.

the french fries when they are fresh and hot.

Costa had steak cut fries during the aftenoon. They were so good. But you are right they have to be HOT!!!

2 things spring to mind:

1) the chololate fountain on the last night of any Aida Cruises

2) when we were on our last Aida voyage from NY to Dominican Republic we stopped in Charlston and visited a restaurant there called Fleets Landing. I ordered a pecan pie for desert and it was the best I have ever tasted, after the cruise I mailed them this and got the recipe.

actually my conclusion is of course I go for the deserts.:)

Chicken drumettes from room service however I have no desire to replicate at home.... for me they are for enjoyment on a cruise, on a balcony with sea view.... ;)

Sorry to say, room service has gone to boneless honey-stung chicken on some ships (on Navigator recently). However, this is delicious also.

My favorites: escargot, crepes filled with white chocolate from the WJ.
