Thanks John - all credit goes to Florida - there's almost always a green leafy background when shooting any birds or wildlife, since Florida is a pretty green and tropical place - as soon as you shallow the depth of field to blur the background, you're most likely to have a lovely soft green as a background color!

I was able to attend this year's White House Fall Garden Tour. It's a rare chance to walk around the grounds and also take pics of the White House itself without a fence between you and the building. :)

I started an on-line photography class last week, and yesterday we got our first photo assignment. It was to take a picture using the "Rule of Thirds."

After a trip to the arboretum (it was mostly a bust...everything's green or brown right now:() I decided to walk around my yard with my new macro lens.
