A weekend encounter while out doing some birding this Saturday...I happened upon a family of bobcats who didn't seem overly spooked at my presence:

Here, one of the cubs steals a look at me while mom sits behind:

Momma relaxing:

Then she gave me a glance while one of her other cubs rubbed up against her:

I love seeing wildlife in its habitat - and bobcats can be fairly elusive - this is only the 3rd time this year I've seen them, and only the second time I managed a shot of them - ever!

Great fall tree shots, Bruce. Our son and daughter-in-law live in Minneapolis - we went to visit them a couple of years ago and went in early October so we could catch the fall color. We don't have pretty trees here in El Paso - also once in a while you might find a leaf or two.

Bruce - those are amazing fall colors - love the boat on the lake shot as that really has the fall feel for me. I was happy to finally get to see my first true fall colors last year, as it had been 18 years before that since I had seen any!

And thank you for the compliment on the bobcat shots.

Dileep - love those balloons reflected in the water - a beautiful scene, well captured.

Our peak came and went in a matter of a few days.

Fall is the one thing I miss from Georgia...We just dropped out of the 100s and I'm still picking avocados in the back yard!

Guess I need to drive to the Sierras!

Nice shots!

Some really stunning photos group!!

I can't believe that you stayed around to get all of those photos of the Bobcats. I would have been out of there like a shot. Great pics.

Beautiful balloon photos. That would have been awesome to see in person.

I was out in the country pumpkin picking yesterday. Here in the city the leaves have only just begun to turn but just a few miles out, it is in all of it's splendor.
