OBC into cash

It it still possible to convert OBC to cash in casino. We may have too much OBC and love to play in the Casino. Willing to pay the penalty.

Not sure if it's the same for all OBC's from Azamara, but this is the fine print for the July 12-15th sale:

 

Onboard Credit amount is in U.S. Dollars, has no cash value, is not redeemable for cash, is not transferable and will expire if not used by 10:00 PM on the last evening of the cruise.

Yes, you can use your seapass card in the casino and get cash for a 3% fee. We did that on our June sailing. We had $800 OBC and we used most of our OBC this way.

No one says you have to spend all the money you cash at the casino!

I know that with the current offer you have to spend your OBC by the last evening of the cruise. As a general rule can you carry OBC over from one cruise to the next?

 

Any suggestions as to what to spend OBC on if you don't use it in the casino and wine is now included?

The spa, alcoholic beverages, specialty dining and shore excursions are other areas where it can be used.

 

Per the posts above, it's redeemable for cash @ a 3% charge in the casino (but no obligation to spend it in the casino?), which is great, considering that they say, "not redeemable for cash".

1. Use or lose it. Those are promos to get you to book. Cash those in a the casino and pay the 3% fee or lose it.

 

2. If you don't use it, it becomes a credit on your credit card statement.

 

I found that out on my last cruise. If the OBC is due to a price reduction the OBC will become a credit at the end of the cruise. Last cruise, I had a negative charge since I did not use my OBC and I collected it.
