fridaythecat.u.k. Posted July 23, 2010 #1 Share Posted July 23, 2010 Yes, it is true! Mrs Queen and a load of other Royals boarded a Princess ship for a cruise around the Scottish islands today :D http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-10739188 (OK, so perhaps the Hebridean Princess isn't part of Carnival Corp :p)
jagsfan Posted July 23, 2010 #2 Share Posted July 23, 2010 Thanks for sharing such a lovely story. I hope the Queen has a lovely holiday. I don't know if she gets enough credit for devoting almost her entire life to her job. She deserves her cruise.
Shogun Posted July 23, 2010 #3 Share Posted July 23, 2010 Hi All Even if you do not support having a royal family, this lady of 84 I think sure packs a lot in each and every day of her life. The fact she has for so long put her duty before her own pleasure, shows she is the last of a line, do not think we will see such again. yours Shogun

Sunviking Posted July 24, 2010 #10 Share Posted July 24, 2010 I don't get it. This woman has served her country with grace her entire adult life. I don't think she chose to be in this position or campaigned to get it, unlike many of the "lords and ladies" we have here. I admire her and don't think she should be the butt of jokes. Many of us should hope that when we reach her age we behave as well as she does.

Floflegs Posted July 24, 2010 #13 Share Posted July 24, 2010 Here, here! Long live her Majesty..................... Queen Elizabeth. Not the 2nd for us in Scotland! I certainly don't envy her her job especially as it is for life with no retirement age. Hope the sun shines for her.

NSWP Posted July 25, 2010 #19 Share Posted July 25, 2010 Good one, did she get the black Elite card for the laundry and priority tenders ? She would be feisty in the battle of the Horizon Court Buffet. Rule Britannia, she is our Queen too.
