AF-1 Posted July 29, 2010 #3 Share Posted July 29, 2010 My last three cruises my wife and I have carried our luggage off the ship and grabbed a taxi at the port.
Windy56 Posted July 29, 2010 #4 Share Posted July 29, 2010 My husband and I want to have breakfast in the dining room before we self disembark. Do they force you to get off earlier making this impossible? We would like to have breakfast around 8:00 and get off around 9:00, toting our own luggage. Does anyone know if this is a possible scenario on Oasis?
Langley Cruisers Posted July 29, 2010 #5 Share Posted July 29, 2010 loman and Windy56, you may self-disembark but you will be expected to leave early. You may keep your luggage in your stateroom, and they call for all express walk-offs to leave the ship between 6:15 and 7:30 am (quoted directly from the Cruise Compass). Imagine if everyone self-disembarked, but did so on their own time, anytime they wanted to? It would be a nightmare with people tripping over luggage and such congestion. The dining room is open from 6:00 - 8:30 am that day.

It will mean that we can have a nice breakfast in the dining room and leave at a reasonable time without contributing to any hallway congestion.
