let's see if i can be a little helpful.....

I am sure that Madeline will pop on and provide more info but i THINK that the Admiral Fell in might be an option....though it isn't walking distance. You can take the water taxi over.

As for shuttles to the ship-none that i know of.....but a cab should be around $12-15.......

Parking in the Inner Harbor (hotels) isn't cheap. You might be better off getting a park n fly at the airport and taking the light rail into town. Our cab from the Sheraton was about $30.

I would SKIP the HI Express near the stadium as it's not the best area and there isn't anything around.

Hi Meg,

How late does the water taxi run(Cost?) and how long of ride to the inner harbor?

I really don't know the area, Have you ever been at the Admiral Fell or Brookshire Suites ? If so can you tell me a little about each, good and bad points of either?

Any with free shuttle to and from the port in Baltimore where Enchantment of the Seas docks? Also want a secure lot for parking the car. Any good deals out there? Jimbo:)

Hi Jimbo.

You've picked the only 2 hotels in Baltimore (BWI isn't in Baltimore ;)) that offer a park/cruise package. Brookshire Suites is 1 block from the Inner Harbor & was just recently added to the package. The Admiral Fell Inn is in Fells Point and a water taxi ride may be 30 minutes or so because of the stops. Fells Point is right around the bend from the Inner Harbor. I have not stayed at either hotel, but several posters here have stayed at The Admiral Fell Inn and enjoyed their stays. There's valet parking for both hotels and they use nearby garages. There's lots to do on foot from both locations.

The water taxi schedule varies according to the time of year, but it looks like it's $10/day, which is a bargain.

Here's a Baltimore interactive map. The cruise terminal is west of Fort McHenry right off of I-95.

Hope this helps some. ;)

Thanks for the information, checked out the info on the water taxi schedule, I'm thinking now Admiral Fell will be our best location to be at.

We won't be there until November 26th and the water taxi's stop running by 6pm that time of the year. Most likely that might be about the time on Friday that we are arriving into Baltimore.

Getting in that late and seeing all the places that are around Fell's Point, I believe that will be just as nice if not better then going to the Harbor Place in teh Inner Harbor.

What do you think? Most things around the Inner Harbor will be closed anyway?

I agree with Meg. The only things that will be closed are office buildings. Fells Point will be fun the day after Thanksgiving. The restaurant Meli that provides your continental breakfast is very nice for lunch and dinner also. In Fells Point, if you like to just sit at a bar and have steamed shrimp or mussels, John Stevens is great, or Bertha's for mussels. There are also lots of little coffee shops and many bars. Good choice.

Harbor East is high end. The Inner Harbor is the major Baltimore tourist attraction. ;)

The cruise terminal has very accessible parking. The cost is $15/day so you can use that figure for comparison. The water taxi provides a great view of the Baltimore harbor and surrounding sites but would be quite cold in November.

Looks like my wife might have that friday after Thanksgiving off now so most liekly will now will be arriving around midday at the latest.

So even with the water taxi being a little chilly being out at Fell's Point might be okay or should we book the Brookshire closer to the Inner Harbor?

I think the Brookshire is about $40 cheaper, now I'm wondering about our car being parked there, which area would be better(more secure) for our car?

Just read the lastest review on tripadvisor about Adrmiral Fells Inn .. It's not good

Brookshire Suites no better either. Car broken in to, etc.

I've been looking for park and cruise options. I read the Brookshire reviews with AC problems. We will be sailing on Nov. 28 and trying to pick a location close to inner harbor.

A previous post said that there is a Ravens game that day and Thanksgiving day traffic. We are coming from PA on I 83 & I do not like to drive in crazy traffic. Those of you familiar with Baltimore--would you drive on Nov. 28 or park & cruise? What hotel? Thanks for you input!!!:)

Nope, not good. Personally, I wouldn't stay at either hotel, but these are the only 2 park & cruise hotels in Baltimore. All of the others are near/at BWI.

Here's the hotels I recommend, in no particular order. If you choose one of these, parking at the terminal will most likely be less expensive than parking at the hotels for the duration.

Marriott Waterfront

Hotel Monaco

Henderson's Wharf Inn

Renaissance

Hilton Baltimore

Pier 5

The game is at 1pm. If you get into Baltimore by 10am, I would think you would have no problem, assuming you can board your ship around 11am.

If you choose a hotel, my list is above. There's also a Hyatt right at Harborplace.

I have not been in 3 of these hotels, except to walk through one to get to a garage, but I would also recommend these based on the fact that they are located in Harbor East which is very nice. ;)

The water taxi is right at the Marriott Waterfront, which is one of Meg's favs. ;)

Might be better to either Priceline it or Hotwire it and bite the bullet and pay to park at the secure parking lot at the pier.

Then when cruise is over jump in the car and head north right there on I-95

I agree and parking at the Baltimore port is a breeze. I glanced at Better Bidding earlier and people were getting 4* Hotel Monaco & the Marriott Waterfront for under $100 on Priceline, but I didn't read far enough to see for what month.

Since you're headed south on 95, the Fairfield Inn at White Marsh may also be an option for you. You won't be at the Inner Harbor, but, lots of CCers like the package. It's maybe 20-25 minutes from the terminal and also right off 95.

You have lots of options. ;)

The problem with the Fairfield, for my date(November 26th) the price is $170.00, Only real thing I'm getting for that price is peace of mind of being near the port the night before the cruise and what I'm not even getting is being near the Inner Harbor or Fell's Point.

If I spend that $170, heck I might as well just drive down the day of the cruise and spend the $15 times 9 days to park at the pier....... $135.00

Lots of people mention Sleep Inn and Comfort Inn but they look like scary too.

We just stayed at the Admiral Fell Inn 3 weeks ago with a Cruise and Park package. We loved it. I did see a few unhappy reviews on TripAdvisor, but they seemed to be outnumbered by positive ones. It is a great location, and the hotel is quaint and well-kept. The front desk staff is competent and kind - they printed out our boarding passes and let us check our bags even after we came back after disembarkation so that we could wander around the quaint streets until time to go to the airport.

How was the the morning to the pier and when you got picked up after your cruise and returned to the hotel? How prompt were they picking you up?

I guess since you didn't drive you have no idea where people's car are parked? Did you happen to notice?

What transportation did you use to go into the Inner harbor area? Does the hotel itself have any kind of shuttle service to anywhere?

Jimbo, do a search for The Admiral Fell Inn. Someone posted a few months ago about the transportation and everything went perfectly. I've never heard of any shuttles to and from other locations.

As far as the parking, most likely they have their own gated lot somewhere near the hotel. Most Fells Point parking is metered.

You may want to give them a call.

Thought I read somewhere that they ran shuttles between the 3 hotels. Maybe I just dreamed that?

Just got off the phone with them, Parking garage is a city owned garage they use, 6 stories high, it is used by other business's in the area also and is also patrolled every half hour. The guy(Kevin) I talked on the phone at Admiral said he has worked there for 27 months and has heard of only 1 time a car be broken in to.

Also he said they run shuttles between the 3 hotels and that Pier 5 Hotel is right down there in the Inner Harbor.
