can Europeans still book safely through US agencies

I agree with Globaliser's comment -

 

"I personally do what every low-volume individual consumer can do: I won't buy a Princess cruise in the UK if I feel I am being ripped off by the pricing, and if I can't buy it in the US either I will take my money elsewhere - and not necessarily to another cruise line."

 

Maybe when enough customers take their business elsewhere, the cruise lines will listen. However, by then, it may be too late, when people discover the joys of independent overseas travel by other means of transport.

Having difficulty finding an agent in the US who will take a booking from Europe - have tried six so far, all of which have said no - any suggestions or advice?

Do you not have a us address you can use
